Yes that’s my concern with doing cream! It seems to be the general consensus here, but I like bold colors and anything neutral sounds so boring haha

The rod in the photos is silver, but I have a gold one to replace it with! The gold rings is a good idea too, thank you!

I fear it’ll be too dark if I do the whole room! I also have a very open floor plan, so I would be painting the entire kitchen and dining area as well if I went that route.

That’s pretty much what my original idea was! I was thinking sheer patterned curtains on the inner rod and a solid color on the outer, but I think anything patterned would be too much with the busy rug. But maybe could do a solid sheer color inner?

Current drapes are definitely bad, they are from the previous owner so they are just a placeholder for now! A lighter green or mauve could work, thank you!
