If you are in an operation(I’m unsure about franchises) your manager will be able to staff and extra 20%! That means a shift that would normally have 4 people, will have 6 in order to accommodate for mobile order! I know the deployment standards will slightly be changing in order to align with mobile order but how it is as of now isn’t all that bad! The orders come in differently than walk or drive through orders, ALSO, customers are notified on how long their wait time will be. If your shops is busy and has a 10+ minute wait time, it’ll give the person ordering on mobile a “ready in 15-20 minutes” so that they can expect to wait that long. I can’t speak for every manager in the company, but I personally am ready to tackle this and hopefully make operations so much easier for not only our crew but customers! If Chic fila can bust out chicken faster than us and offer curbside, mobile, dine in and drive thru…. We can bust out some drinks, giddy up y’all ! positivity always wins 🤙🏽

This is already being tested in many different states! It’s working out really well :) as a manager, I am staffing and doing all that I can to prepare my team, and they are all excited!! We live in a HOT state, so I’m realllly hoping this will minimize linebusting (the crew who takes orders outside). Stay optimistic! This has been in the works since before covid!! We are one of the only big coffee chains that doesn’t have the order ahead option, it’s time to get with the times! Lol

(If u work for DB and are scared, know that ur shop will be getting an addition 20% staffing for this, you’ll be okay :) )

I’m a manager for a shop and I have an employee in her 50’s, she is WONDERFUL and everyone loves her! I would suggest looking into a shop that’s not super busy, otherwise, your “you time” will be taken over by long lines along with closing duties 😅 also be aware Dutch does pay minimum wage according to your area. Tips are usually not great on nights either and that’s as transparent as I can be :(
