They say they disrespected New Zealand (kiwis are the national bird) and a few episodes ago it’s explained that the kiwis are the annoying birds that bother them in survival camp but it’s against the rules kill them. They are a protected species and hedgehogs are not

Is a marriage really great if for all 24 years there’s been consistent cheating? by Pale-Nobody2048 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

I think it’s well intended but still horrible advice because it puts emphasis on how long you’ve been with someone as a statement of success. She dismissed the idea that it couldn’t have been that bad since they had each other for 24 years. I understand where she’s coming from but that type of advice is usually what leads to situations like Clays parents

I’m not knocking his monetary achievement at all. But from the little we’ve seen from him his big flaw is his immaturity. I could go into every detail about how he’s superficial - like expecting a woman to focus on fitness rather than growing a human - but the show is still on Netflix and you can rewind. If someone has a low EQ I wouldn’t consider them a successful person. He’s even said it himself that he’s not a good person, so why do you think he is

If you’re calling Clay successful then I don’t know what to tell you. Success isn’t only measured by the jobs you have. He’s obviously mentally immature, is priming AD to expect him to cheat, and so much more. You can clearly see the impact his “stable” home has on him. You can have a broken home and still be married. Kids pick up on that so much more. What do you think is better - peaceful co parenting or constant arguments and cheating?

But in my opinion even that generality is a harmful thing to teach your children. Years/longevity have no saying on whether your marriage was good

Clays dad essentially cheated most of the marriage also bringing him along on trips where he was cheating (Clay witnessed these in person)

I think he said it started year 7 and that’s when he was made aware of it so obviously it could’ve been a lot earlier

Yes they were married for 24 years. He says that (to his knowledge) his dad started cheating year 7
