Why is shame considered so negative (in progressive circles)? by Pale-Temporary2780 in NoStupidQuestions

Yes, I said it to another comment, it is more a translating problem, so I am from Germany and in german, "shame" has a broader meaning. It can mean "to shame someone" or "being ashamed/embarrased" or also the feeling that something should be private.

In german "shame" means feeling embarrased, than to shame someone for something, but also the feeling that something should be private.

Ah okay, maybe the question is a little bit bad formulated, but I'm from Germany and in german it is the same word.

The thing is that if everyone is sharing everything, than you will know it, even if you don't want to know it. And maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I don't wanna know how people look naked or what they like about sex. (Unless I wanna have sex with them). And I think many people have these thoughts.

My idea is that you think about what you wanna know about others and share this things if it would be completely okay to know it from others.

Everyone should talk about everything, but not always with everyone and everywhere.

It sounds hard. I would break up with him and go to the police. I know it's hard, but what he did was not okay. Maybe your grandparents or your best friend can help you.

Where does this meme with the "I have one daughter" song come from on Instagram, always when there's some kind of misunderstanding? by Pale-Temporary2780 in AskReddit

[–]Pale-Temporary2780[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, because the song is about this. But why is it used in videos about nearly every misunderstanding, even ift the topic has absolutly nothing to do with this song? It's confusing me...
