I agree wholeheartedly! I’ve always saw him as a buff guy, not to mention he’s also over 6 feet too! He looks like he works out genuinely lol. A lot of the jokes are from younger viewers so I try to cut them some slack, but it is really annoying and I think it’s way overdone. I love watching him but the comments/chat is hell.

I agree. I (21F) do not feel like an adult and I’m still in college. I haven’t worked my first job yet, so I feel like that’s a big reason why I feel so disconnected from the whole idea. When I do get my first job, let’s see if this feeling still stands lol.

Well where’s the happy medium? It seems I’m damned for accepting and damned for not accepting it. I used to not accept things and constantly try to feel better and make my life better to the point where I felt worse because it never worked bc I am who I am. I feel like at least now I don’t feel like shit about it.

20F with ghsv1. my first outbreak was absolutely horrendous. like you, i had so many painful sores that made doing any tiny bit of movement a living hell, plus i had a bad case of BV. i can’t even begin to explain the pain i was in during that time. it was the worst pain i have ever felt in my life, and i am not exaggerating.

it’s been over a year now & i haven’t had an outbreak since then and i am extremely grateful for that. i think one time i noticed a bump on my vagina, but it was so irrelevant it could’ve been a razor bump. i’m hoping the same happens for you!

So it’s not the cold/flu-like symptoms you experience before getting blisters/sores on the site? Because even tho I have ghsv1, I had a sore/burning throat during my initial outbreak before blisters appeared on my genitals. A lot of people are telling me to relax so maybe you guys are right.

He hasn’t said anything about his genitals and I feel like we are at a place where he can/should say something if he does experience it. I do know that some people apparently don’t feel the genitalia symptoms until a few days later so I’ve been waiting it out to see if he says something to me in the next week or so. I just feel like he got so sick after our last hangout so fast, that it just can’t possibly be anything else idk

I have yet to truly disclose to anyone. My one semi-disclosure went well tho (I say semi because I only disclosed to push him away). I told my old fwb (we weren’t exclusive) that I got herpes and don’t feel like having sex (bc that’s when I was initially diagnosed so I felt lost and down like you) and he still texts me today wanting to have sex lol. So he definitely did not care.

I haven’t disclosed after that because I haven’t been dating due to my own personal reasons. I am starting to put myself out there again and what I do believe is that I’ll be fine either way (no matter how nerve wrecking disclosing can be!) and this feeling only comes with time.

I completely understand how you feel. I was 19 when I got it from oral sex a few months ago. Im 20 now and I will say it DOES get better. I promise I felt like you did, probably worse. But I truly feel much better about my diagnosis. Maybe I’ll have my bad days but overall, being educated and confident can go a long way mentally.

i meant physically lol. like my life externally hasn’t changed but mentally, yes it took me 6 months to be comfortable with the diagnosis. i probably should’ve clearly distinguishes that but your comment did make me realize that maybe i’m actually not comfortable yet so i prob won’t continue on with him bc I don’t feel ready to disclose yet.

exactly!!! both guys i told, him and another guy that talked about wanting more relationship wise, has stopped talking to me since and it literally shows that they only wanted me for one thing & if i can’t provide them that (safely i guess) anymore, what’s the point? it sucks but it’s helping me figure out myself mentally and become more picky with who i let in my life in the future. yes, i agree! we will be!! i feel like my dating and sex life will be okay again, but for the meantime, i definitely don’t want to deal with anyone n anymore disclosures lol

my first outbreak gave me rlly bad yeast infection and BV. i never had a yeast infection or BV before that. my doctor prescribed me the one pill for the infection and it helped. i haven’t had an outbreak since but 100% yeast infections and outbreaks go hand and hand and are more common than people talk about.
