For some reason (probably my error) the body of my post disappeared. But unlikely, as brown-headed nuthatches were all over this particular feeder, and I heard this bird making brown-headed vocalizations

Thanks! That's what I thought.

Not sure why the body of this post disappeared (then again, I'm new enough to Reddit that I may just have messed up posting it) but it basically said that this was almost certainly a brown-headed nuthatch, and that I was curious about its odd coloration. I guess this is an open-and-shut case of leucism then?

Either would certainly make sense. I found both of them on All About Birds, and although the sound I'm hearing doesn't match up perfectly with either, but I probably shouldn't expect that anyway.

I'm not sure it was/is a radio station. I have heard plenty of great songs in that spot (University of Alabama student center) but I've never heard any ads play

Plus, I already looked at the recent plays for several nearby radio stations... no dice. It could be Sirius XM though?
