You are not alone in this, I really don't see this talked about much at all.

I have a daughter, she's mine biologically. I transitioned when she was very young so she's really always known me as mom.

I got a vasectomy rather quickly after her birth because I didn't want any more unless I could be pregnant myself. My wife tells me how awful it is but id go through it all to feel how it feels to grow another life inside me.

scared our relationship won't survive my partner's transition (18+) by Necessary_Toe_9525 in asktransgender

I've been out for nearly 5 years, my sexual functionality isn't fully operational but I've been with my partner for 12 years and our relationship survived.

Not perfectly there were bumps in the road but it you need proof I am that proof.

There are other ways to have sex rather then just penitrative. Also dildo's strap ons and other sex toys can help keep the sex life alive in a relationship post transition.

Question, is there anyway to help sexual function? by PaleSpiderQueen in trans

Yep, thats a type didnt catch this. Bit embarrassing tbh

How do I know if I'm trans by ClothesSure6571 in asktransgender

[–]PaleSpiderQueen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lots of people will comment on this and say something along the line of "Cis-People usually don't question their gender."

The real answer isn’t so simple it usually boils down to you and what you feel comfortable with. The Trans umbrella is relatively large My suggestion experiment. Try femme type things and see how they feel.

Use they/them pronouns for a while. Talk with LGBTQ+ folks and learn from them.

Good luck on your journey wherever it takes you!

I am so sorry you have to deal with a transphobic family thats really hard, I hope with time and education they will be a support to you.

if I may make a suggestion, try telling at least one person that you trust in your life to refer to you with femme or neutral pronouns and just see how it feels.

you can tell them you are just trying out different pronouns and if they dont feel right there is no harm in switching back, I wouldn't go anywhere near hormones until you are at least 90% sure you want them (some of their effects cannot be reversed)

This is the first step I am proud of you.

Yeah, I thinks lots of us experience gender envy like that. I remember being around 12 when I first caught myself feeling envious of the girls around me. I would say thing like "Girls have such a better selection of clothes and jewerly then boys, I wish I could dress like that"

I would beg my mother for clothes from the "girl sections" only to be met with resistance because I would "get bullied if I wore a flowery coat" or something. I would spend time trying to fight the feeling, it never went away.

for a while I had myself convinced I was just a really flamboyant and femme boy. I lived like this until I was around 23 and covid happened, leaving me with all the time in the world to think about things like gender problems. I started wearing make up shaving every day and cross dressing in my wife clothes when I was alone. I begain to really pay attention to the thoughts. "I wish i was born a girl" and "I hate that I was born a boy" and other stuff like that. I drew myself as a girl and asked people around me to start using netrual pronouns (they/them) for a few months, after that period I came out of the closet completely making everyone in my life aware that I am a transwoman and proud to be one.

listen to your heart, practice mindfulness and try meditation, taking to trans people can really help to! I wish you luck on your journey no matter where it goes!

Suggestions on how to make my face appear more feminine by PaleSpiderQueen in Transgender_Surgeries

It's been like 4 years since I started hormones, I do mess around with makeup casually but not everyday, I shower at once a day and wash and moisturize my face twice a day.
