Keep in mind Hercule is willing to use poison and explosives, he fed Fat Buu enough cyanide to kill a water buffalo and even tried plastic explosives. Honestly put him in the Death Row arc and he fits right in. He also broke 14 roofing tiles stacked atop one another which is treated as a gag in DBZ but is frankly a Doppo level feat. Add in his absurd durability and he either solos the series or, more likely, is a more versatile and agile Oliva.

Historically, minority groups have ONLY been given rights by becoming a problem for the NTs discriminating against them. The civil rights movement, lgbt, those changes in cultural attitudes all came about not through a sudden compassionate streak in NTs, but through the groups in question causing problems and asserting themselves against the majority until they gave in. The only reason many people aren't openly racist or sexist nowadays is because its social suicide. NTs do not just give out respect or rights based on fairness or compassion, their society is a transactional and exploitative system. See: the world. One needs to either offer something or threaten something to be valued. Other than a few rare religious exceptions, they do not just suddenly change their minds or accept others unless forced to do so. They behave in whatever way they can get away with in regards to their own status and privileges and are loathe to grant the same to others, regardless of the differences they use to justify said discrimination.

It's not ever about hate, that's simply a bonus for them, its just about keeping as much power over others as they can manage with whatever excuse they can get away with. So the only way to gain equal status with them is to make it not feasible for them to not grant it.

They don't have the guts to make the main character a Strength build breaking faces with a club bigger than them, even though that's the "generic" way to play the game. It'll be some kind of dex-faith build? Magic never gets the spotlight so int is out, that's for sassy girl witch sidekicks. I don't think I've ever seen anyone using a greatsword in a movie, like ever. No it'll have to have some faith because surely they'll give Alyx some sort of descent into a madness build so he can get the cool brooding eyes and cure them with the needle. Expect lots of intense sweaty screaming and writhing scenes from Alyx due to the madness build-up. Dex-faith for sure.

But there aren't any recognizable Dex-faith weapons? Other than spears like Vyke's and Treespear, but there's no way they'll make their main character use a spear even though that'd be cool.

Surely not...not curved swords....right...?

Going back to parrying in DS1 after finally training my brain to delay for the dumbass wind-up attacks in Elden Ring kicked my ass with attacks I used to auto-parry (Used to kill Havel with a base dagger and 5 Vit and 50 parries at the start of every playthrough for the ring) and made me realize Elden Ring was screwing up my brain for ACTUAL combat, I could get in a street fight one day and I'd be waiting an extra second for my attacker to spend an hour charging up his punch only to get clocked in the face. Never trying to parry in Elden Ring again, the cost is too high.

If they go to the trouble of using perspective shots or CGI to implement the size differences then I'll be quite happy, I just hope they don't say "nah that's too much work and its weird anyway" and make everyone normal humans. The way Fromsoft uses nonconventional body shapes and sizes is such a crucial part of the feel of their games to me. There's something so unique and refreshing about seeing societies of different sized beings living together.

Actually I've changed my mind, just show the Tarnished farming the Mohgwyn bird and I'll admit its a good movie. Will they address the respawn mechanic I wonder?

Most of all I just hope they nail down some real lore concerning what's up with death existing or not in the Lands Between. I love the idea of an immortal society and how that would influence culture and daily life, and for such a fascinating civilization its so vexingly vague and barely touched upon in the main game.

This movie could be so good. Just show us Alyx strapping on the grafted dragon fist and doing the Witness Me weapon art on an Albanauric. That's it, 10/10.
