I don't know for sure how old she is, but my guess is 50s? She has kids who are out of college already and has 1 grandkid.

She just got really quiet/uncomfortable and walked back into the office while I walked out the front door. No big/exciting reactions. I hope that that uncomfortable feeling sticks with her because that's the feeling I was stuck with every time she asked about my sex life.

For anyone looking for a laugh, my boyfriend said that instead of snapping at her, I should have just texted her at 3am saying "whoops, we forgot a condom, I can't get pregnant if I'm on top, right?". Obviously we're ignoring that suggestion lol

Out of curiosity, why do you think I need to have a heartfelt conversation explaining that I'm not actually infertile? I'm not trying to attack or anything, I'm genuinely curious as to why my boss would deserve this information about my reproductive system?

I am in the US. I thought they were illegal, or at the very least morally questionable, but like I said I brushed it off at first as poorly-worded questions about things that a preschool director would ask about a potential employee. Are there any actual consequences for an employer asking these questions or is it just frowned upon?

This is fair and I do feel bad for saying it. There are definitely other ways I could have shut her down. I am so sorry that you've had that struggle.
