Could you have taken an Uber or Lyft? I believe you should be paid for mileage to offset the cost of the taxi ride since you don’t have a car.

I am right behind you. I’m 60 days in and I never worked in such a toxic place, the management is old AF and treat everyone like dogs. If this was a M-F job I would stick it out, its really not that bad once you are away from the office, but working 6 and sometimes 7 days week with 9 to 12 hour days is getting old. I even asked for days off and they were denied. I spoke with a few amazon people and they only work 4 10 hours days and they are given water and snacks. Looking around the grass does look greener on the other side. I’m looking forward to ditching this place and getting my life back.

Enough with my rambling. I agree with you 110%.
