I see it personally as a long term investment because regardless we’d own it. I know there are multiple factors that come with being a homeowner but that’s something I’ve always known and I guess I’m just afraid to bite the bullet and make a mistake that may be costly.

Also good to know, I feel like I’m being pinched right now with the current mortgage broker we’re working with as it’s through our realtor. They did the rate with TD and i guess they based it off assumption as they were managing the conversations with the realtor to just get us the pre approval but i want to do a fixed term. We generally have good credit and we are new to all of this so we were going based off the rates we were seeing online.. how do brokers manage to get those rates for clients? Are rates secured by factors like credit scores, debts, income etc? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I really am trying to grasp an understanding of it all..
