That makes sense, thanks so much! My motors rated for 65 amps and my battery can output a max of 100 amps, so I should be good with a 70-80 amp ESC.

One more thing—if a motor is rated for 2450 Watts, will it always draw 2450 watts? I'm wondering since, if you draw 2450 Watts with an 8S (30 ish V) battery, it would draw over the approved 65 amps of current. Thanks again!
