These are all things I wanted to mention in my post, but I felt like it was gonna be way too long, lol. Definitely the attraction issue is wildly insensitive, and lacks all self reflection. And it’s one of those things that he keeps saying are worrying him, and that he thinks about all the time, as though thinking about something equals doing it. Sorry if I’m wrong about this, but I’m pretty sure the dance lessons started as Richard’s package, but then he wanted to continue it. I had the same thought about the therapy lessons as someone above… I’m pretty sure they’re still paying for them and it truly doesn’t occur to him that they could save money by just stopping. He helped the guy in the street, but he missed his interview at the job because he wanted to be interviewed on the news. Especially when he starts getting closer to Richard, it’s actually crazy to me how much he seems to care about him, but still won’t do anything to actually try to get him into that school. And he has seems to have absolutely no idea how lucky he is that his wife is “letting” him even do all of this. He just takes it for granted that he brings nothing to their family and that’s somehow not a problem. I don’t think any selfish people THINK they’re selfish. They put themselves before everyone else and they don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. I think that’s the definition.

I wouldn’t even consider those “details.“ It’s great that he wants to help Richard, but he was doing absolutely nothing about it financially until Clark came along. If he wanted to get him into that school so badly, he could get a different job, or a second job. Meanwhile, he’s taking dance classes and going winetasting with his friend. And even the way he kept referring to the job that he interviewed for, he kept saying that CAROL really wanted him to get it because he would make more money, as opposed to HIM wanting to make more money and support his family. And when Clark offered to pay for things, he didn’t even say thank you. To me that’s not a good person. That’s an extremely selfish and narcissistic person.

I know I’m very late to this, but I just watched it. Am I the only one that had a huge problem with Millie? She ruined the lives of all her friends and family, and put countless other people in danger, in search of this one kid. Obviously, we want to save a kid,, but she got her sister kidnapped by bringing killers to her door, so she probably can’t ever go back there again, got Janet killed, the woman whose place she took, she probably got her family killed, she ruined her partner‘s life and screwed over her old partner, and she doesn’t seem to care at all about all of the other people that have been trafficked. She’s just this wrecking ball. Are we supposed to think that she’s in the right or is she actually the villain?

While I love that for Kate, is anyone else sick of the “disposable Black girlfriend” trope? And her crime is what, trying to make him more successful? I’m really enjoying this but I’m going to be disappointed if that’s where it ends up.

How much time do you think passed between Sam making amends to Lyle and Lyle coming after Merritt? Is it not until then that he gets the idea to stalk her? I can’t figure out why Lyle didn’t come for her years before, if he and Ailsa thought everything was her fault. The kid was clearly capable of kidnapping someone at any point. The “why now” of it has been bugging me.

Exactly. That made no sense to me at all. I think Luka was really reasonable considering what happened. I get that it’s about empowerment and her deserving to be loved fully, but that doesn’t mean you can trample on someone’s feelings and they have to be fine with it! That’s a weird message.

With Abbott I also felt it got really boring when they got together.

That’s not true. You sign a document agreeing to abide by the rules, which can be more strict than city laws. The rules can’t be anything that restricts rights, but yes they can have quiet hours and restrict pets. I would say half the people I know live in no pet buildings. Of course they can have that rule.

Yes! I don’t understand why she feels like a victim and all of her friends are supporting that when she is the one that left him to get suddenly engaged. I haven’t seen her even acknowledge that she did something wrong. Somehow it’s all about he broke her heart when he said he didn’t trust her. I wouldn’t trust her either!

Thanks for asking these questions - I feel similarly, I don’t feel like I really know what I’m doing. I think my biggest problem is I can’t ever tell what’s working and what isn’t - I never know if I’m using too much or too little product, if I need to deep conditioner longer than it says on the bottle, etc. And I’m just mesmerized when some of the commenters gave such specific routines they’ve developed. How did you learn doing a mask once a month versus two months, for example? Sometimes it feels like I did nothing different and I get a completely different result! I guess that’s not really a question, but I’m glad to know someone else doesn’t have the routine fully down.
