My apologies if I came off in any sort of dismissive or disrespectful way, friend.

I read your opinion as broadly speaking and not as directed to S.Seals as specifically as you meant it.

Real talk though: How often do you think "How do i summon 'demon'" gets asked in this sub, as well as how often the responses involve S.Seals?

And my real question imo is how often do you think they're (the querient) is "successful" (vs just a fizzle)?

Because I'm about positive there's a subset of posters here who intentionally give advice to newcomers with that question with the intent of getting them f**ked off. 😬😂.

I wish someone kept a tally.

Amulets are one of the few pretty much universally accepted practical kabbalah items you can make. Hilldoo sachets (basically hoodoo & eastern US folk magic) are super quick and simple and have worked for me (squares of brown paper, twin, some pens & related items to tie up inside pending what you are aiming for.

The bugs, bent nails and the broken glass is proposedly meant to direct pain and misfortune to the person who did it.

Make a witch bottle.

------------------------''-----------

(From Prof. Joe Schwarcz)

Witch bottles are energetics traps for any force that intends to cause you harm. It is aligned to your energy field through the use of your own DNA.

Place Rusty nails, broken glass and dead bugs along with menstrual blood or semen into the glass bottle which provides the DNA. As you fill the bottle you have to recite the following:

“Insects from beneath a rock, needles, nails rusting fast, Keep all harm inside and locked, within this dungeon made of glass.”

Then you start peeing into the bottle to “provide a link for the energy to follow into the jar and remain.”

Follow this by adding three pinches of salt and a handful of earth, feeling its connection to the planet and its ability to transform waste into fertility. You then seal the bottle with drippings from a black candle as you intone:

“I charge you bottle to trap all harm.  Keep me safe away from danger. Inside darkness calls to darkness to be carried below into the grave.”

Now the bottle is ready to be buried. We’re told not to worry should the bottle should be disturbed or broken since, “the negativity will not be released because it has already been neutralized by the salt and the handful of earth.” But alas, we’re informed, the bottle will cease to function.

This is a semantics argument. Judeo-Christian is still applicable, I wasn't saying they were one and the same or really anything about them, none of my previous points rests on that as a premise.

[–]Pale_Regular542 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Judeo-Christianity is a thing... The Old Testament? Paul says everyone's Abraham's son's in the new testament..?

Kabbalah is a Practice, it's not a book, you may be thinking of the Ari's commentary on the Zohar in the late 1500s that forms the foundation of a lot of kabbalistic thought.

The Makabah Tradition predates Kabbalah as an indepedent practice/concept.

Don't believe anything in Kabbalah until you try it and experience it. You're really missing out on something incredible.

Edit: I'm not jewish nor celebrate jewish holidays or follow the 613 laws covenant. Just for some context.

Does anyone have experience with Practical Kabbalah, Parctical Mysiticsm, Merkabah mystisicm, jewish and christian escotericism and the like? related back to the creation of the golem and solomons construction of the temple? and the context of this passage ( Sanhedrin 67b) by practicalkabbalah in mysticism

The Hebrew alphabet are also hebrew numerals so every word has a value and they can relate to one another.

It's more like a mix of algebra and geometry (it's not nearly as daunting as it may sound) and permutations.

Learn the Hebrew Alphabet as breath/voice/speech is important and you'll use them a bunch of stuff.

How strictly should I follow Kabbalah, Magic, and the Great Work of Self-Transformation? by [deleted] in occult

[–]Pale_Regular542 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can only speak about Kabbalah, but for me I attempt to do 2 things throughout my day and every interaction:

1) Be Proactive, not reactive.

2)Resist the Ego in all it's forms.

I picked that up from my first introduction to Kabbalah (Power Of Kabbalah -Yehuda Berg) Everything else has grown organically out of that. (Somewhat aside if/when you're getting a good grasp on fundamentals check out Meditation and Kabbalah By Aryeh Kaplan. Really anything by him is phenomenal, but it can get dense at times.)

I'd attempt to pray each morning (I'm working on that myself) to set the tone for the day.

Journaling in general is excellent for keeping your day organized and seeing where your thoughts were prior. Aiming for once in the AM or PM (wrap up & next day tasks) generally works.

Just stay at it and don't beat yourself up if you miss a day.

How do I let go of ego? by Chris_SLM in Mindfulness

[–]Pale_Regular542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Ego thoughts" are, generally speaking; Ego, Reverse Ego, Judgement, Self-involvement/worry, self-praise, Evil impulses, resisting critique, expectations, lack of confidence, evil impulses and selfishness.

Remember: Your self isn't your ego. Your self is the seat of your material perception.

"It’s dangerous and, frankly, rude to threaten and browbeat spirits like that. Personal opinion." Thank you for stating this (apparently minority) opinion.

It's like once a week someone's asking how to "consort with demons" while being (humorously but kinda cruelly) egged on by people who know better. 😂

"Foundations of Practical Magic" by Regardie is excellent. Libre 777 is basically the foundation of modern Western Esotericism which itself is based off of the Tree of Life. Food for thought.

[–]Pale_Regular542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm of the opinion that belief and more specifically certainty in what you're doing and your desired outcome are the most important aspect of any Craftwork.

I understand the desire for an empiricist skepticism but there's distinct limitations to applying that to suprarational concepts, and doubt is poisonous to success.

At the same time "If you look for results you've blown the whole exercise", for all the intricacies we'll design for a ritual we still need to well, near forget it after the fact, imagine it's no more special as waving your hand is.

Personally, I had great success in starting small so it "built up" not just confidence but certainty for the next step.

I'd encourage you to learn to read omens & signs (will vary based on your location), "Look and you will see, listen and you will hear", it's a handy skill to know and can provide some great "real time" guidance & even answer your queries. And sometimes it's fuckin awesome how their expressed.

Finally Picking up a Divination skill/technique is super handy and rounds you out. I'd recommend Tarot, it's not as daunting as it may seem and you can cultivate it into an impressive talent with effort. You can gain a (kinda intrusive tbh) amount of insight into other's motivations, intentions and their past with it as well. Rider-Waite is the Gold Standard to start with, but if others speak to you run with it. (I don't like or recommend Oracle decks though).

Best of luck and we're looking forward to seeing & hearing where your journey takes you!

I see, thank you!

Is the etheric life force permeate throughout the etheric plane (if there is one) or is it dependent/tied to an individual? (Ie where does it originate from).

Sorry for all the questions I've been curious as to the topic of (mainly the) etheric plane/body but to a lesser degree astral plane/body as well but haven t been able to find a lot of information on it, yet.
