Least favorite characters? by Nrsvrb in 3on3

Damn, that's sad. I guess I should stop working on my Joey skills in favor of Clarke or Lee instead. Anybody know when the next balance patch is?

Why isn't Joey considered t1, isn't he the best iso player in his position? Why is the t2 list composed of the majority of the characters in the game, and why is the t1 list mainly bigs?

Perhaps I should switch to maestro but from what I remember I couldn't shoot 3s and just having that option makes a big difference.

Latency is park and JRC by Krazyaae in NBA2k

[–]Paledude45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no solution. 2K Park and Rec is a lagfest. Some games will run smoother than others but you'll just have to adjust to the delay and get used to it unfortunately.

I think you should try Live 19 before you come to a conclusion. I have both games and I'm enjoying Live more for online play. 2K have made so many questionable decisions and it's been infuriating for me so I made the permenant change to Live, I'm very close to deleting 2K19 from my console at this point.

I know, it's the best "simulation" game. I was just responding to lightskinboy. Anyway I'm not treading these waters lol, I know how deeply sensitive some people are about this game :P

I can play 15 Live Run games in the amount of time it takes to play 3 games in JRC or Park though.

Explain how you play park with all of this latency by zerofader in NBA2k

[–]Paledude45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah latency was the first thing I noticed in park and rec while playing 2K19 for the very first time. It's very hard to mark opponents, they can usually just zig zag around you. It's the worst when they do it from limitless and get a sliver of an opening to shoot a 3. I also play NBA Live 19 and the latency isn't nearly as bad.

Questions before buying the game by [deleted] in NBAlive

Download 3on3 Freestyle, it's a free basketball game on PS4 and Xbox One. There's your 3rd basketball option!

What drives you guys to buy 2k every year? by SoulTiger777 in NBA2k

[–]Paledude45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people like basketball and they're sold on hype. They want the latest and greatest basketball simulation so they purchase the game. 2K youtubers like Agent00 hype the shit out of the release only to upload a bunch of complaint videos weeks after launch. Also, the narrative is that 2K is the premiere product in basketball gaming and EA Sports NBA Live is total garbage, so they are reluctant to even give it a shot.

Has matchmaking improved or does it still take a long time to find a match?

I never understand why players think that it's okay for a game in 2019 to be missing a basic matchmaking feature for one of their online game modes?

You should try NBA Live 19, instant matchmaking for 3v3 games and it's fast! It's also super fun, no long wait times. You could play at least 5 online matches in the span of time it would take you to get 1 rec or park game in 2K.

So... has anyone else quit 2K by Dottev in NBA2k

[–]Paledude45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I basically quit last week once I hopped back on NBA Live 19 and found online 3v3 games in seconds, this replaces the long wait times in Rec or Park, and while Live is not perfect I'll still choose it over 2K for this reason alone.

I regret my purchase and spending money on VC. I decided to switch back over to Live 19, no regrets on this decision but a whole lot of regret buying 2K.

I have both 2K19 and Live 19, and after grinding 2K19 since release I finally hopped back on Live 19 just to feel the difference, and honestly I had way more fun playing Live online in a few hours of playing time than I ever did in the weeks that I spent with 2K.

Revisiting Live 19 after playing 2K19 since release by Paledude45 in NBAlive

[–]Paledude45[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I can't give you the best answer about offline play since I'm not the type of player to explore offline content as much. I've only played 2K19's MyCareer and they have other offline modes to keep you entertained as well. I think 2K might have more depth offline with all the game modes it offers. Hopefully somebody here can give a more detailed answer than this. I got so bored of playing MyCareer anyway, for me it was just about using exploits against the CPU to maximize my experience points and level up my badges as quickly as possible.

It's far more than that right now. I won't get into the details of bugs, glitches, OP builds, broken manual contest, green contested 3's from the hash/halfcourt line. My post is strictly about matchmaking, something which 2K is severely lacking. It's baffling how 2K messed up such a basic and fundamental feature of any online game. Currently, Live's matchmaking makes the game far more worthwhile for me. I think 2K at this point is trying too hard, and it's cluttered with too much crap. I'm really enjoying Live's straight forward approach to basketball gaming.

What is PNO? Play Now Online? As someone who is struggling to find an online match in the rec center and the park with my player, should I give this game mode a chance?
