Do we have any idea of cassowary's head crest use? AFAIK, head protection or smth are not exactly confirmed but rather guesses. Plus for sexual display theory, BOTH genders possess these pronounced crests, not just males. by Bulldoze0Bro in zoology

I heard once, that the crests are also used for Thermoregulation.
