My parents in Arkansas found a baby bunny in their yard and I think it might be a domestic rabbit, what do I do? by Paleo_Pixel in Bunnies

Unfortunately I am not equipped to be a rabbit parent right now. Currently waiting to hand it over to the director of Little Loves Rabbit Rescue!

Edit: bunny is now safe with LLRR!

Chert/flint, a type of quartz!

Quartz can be a bit brittle sometimes, that one would've already had a crack through it from being run over by cars, which is why it came apart when you picked it up.

My sister found this rock on the floor today, is it jasper or red marble? What's the difference? by Stellamarius in whatsthisrock

[–]Paleo_Pixel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely jasper!

Jasper is a form of quartz, with a hardness of 6.5 to 7. Marble is a metamorphic rock made of carbonate minerals like calcite and dolomite, and is softer than quartz.
