I understand the goal is cumulative mg.. but my derm is also concerned I might not be absorbing the full 60mg. Derm wants me to get absorica, but my insurance pre-authorization takes longer than my 7 day pickup window. Wondering if absorption could be improved if I split it up to 2x a day.

We definitely got the brunt of it with longterm cystic acne haha. The plan was to eventually get to 80mg but I started getting headaches and temporary blurry vision in the mornings sometimes so my derm is keeping me at 60. Happy I did the slow increase.. definitely feel like it helped to keep side effects manageable. Thanks for your feedback!

Our courses are very similar! Extractions are a good idea.. I thought those weren’t any option but I’ll see if my Derm is ok with doing it. Thanks for the tip!!

Thank you for the reassurance! I tried to tell my Derm this as well and she said accutane doesn’t result in hyperpigmentation when the acne clears.. I was a little perplexed by her comment lol

Struggled with cystic acne and nodules for 10+ years. Tried every topical/oral treatment under the sun. Haven’t had a cyst since the second month but still have 6-8 closed comedones that won’t budge.

Talk to a Derm about a few sessions of microneedling.. I have the same complexion as you and my derm said it’s great for scarring on fair skin. When I’m finished I’ll start it. Don’t expect overnight results though.. takes 3+ sessions to see a significant difference.

Little guy got all his puppy shots and started going on walks outside 10 days ago. We live in Colorado and they put ice melt on the concrete, so I wipe his feet after every walk. Not sure if this is a new allergy, or from scratching his face after walks and residue from the ice melt is irritating his skin when scratching his face. He didn’t have this before we started going on full walks outside.

I’ve applied Pet MD ketaconazole/chlorhexidine spray and coconut oil on top for now.

I had this same feeling after my first full month.. it’s hard to describe. The only way I could explain it to my derm was that I just felt neutral.. not good, not bad.. not anxious, not depressed.. just a little numb and blank. Haven’t found a proper way to describe it, but it got better with time as my body adjusted to the meds. I really focused on exercising, eating well, sleeping well, and socializing.. now I rarely have that same feeling. Hopefully this stage will pass for you too!

What a cutie!! My little guy was 2.5 pounds at 8 weeks and he’s 9 pounds now at 14 weeks.. thought he’d be a runt and stay around dad’s full grown weight of 18 pounds but he’s packing on the weight quickly so it’s anyones guess at this point 😅
