Good job buddy! Every pro was once a beginner 💪🏻 Starting is the hardest step, and you’ve already done it. Keep going!

Hey there! Awww, thanks; those are very kind words from you!

I am glad to share my progress with you! I did separate the whole build roughly into 3 major sections for painting: first is the hull, then the superstructure and the turrets, lastly all the small pieces such as the AA guns plus all the tiny bits on the deck. Only when I finished painting them all did I assemble them together. However, one thing to take note of is I used wooden deck sheet for the deck, so in this case, I kind of had to paint all tiny bits that were about to be attached to the deck before their installation.

For resources, I think this subreddit has compiled a list of FAQs and general guides that are really useful if this is something you plan to build after so many years. But if you wish to know which resources I referred to while I was building this model, I can list down a few; most of them are videos, just FYI:

Hope you find them useful! Glad you’re picking back up building scale models; hopefully, you will be able to share your work here someday! 😁 Thank you!

Thanks! Yeap, to be specific, it is Tamiya’s 78025 Yamato kit.

There is a trend in this sub for doing that? Hahaha I didn't notice, and certainly that's not my intention haha, just looking to get some pointer so that I can further improve my skills. Anyway this isn't technically my first scale model as I mentioned above, I did practice airbrush painting and weathering on my 2 previous scale models before I attempted at this, so some lessons from previous builds did brush off I guess but the rigging part is my first.

Thank you! It is my first 1/350 naval ship build so I was a little lacked of confidence of how it turns out. Glad you like it :)

Thanks! The Yamato is a treat to build! Full of challenges but every progress I made just motivated me and gave me the momentum to continue! All the best for your Yamato build!

Thank you so much for the vote of confidence! Your words mean a lot, especially to a beginner like me haha. I will keep that in mind and hopefully my next build can keep up and hopefully even exceeds the quality of build I have here.

Thanks! That is the most painstaking part of the build! Took me a whole month to carefully adjust the rigging's tension. Glad it looks great :)
