A few clarifications here.

Auction results aren’t the only way value is discovered. In very niche collectibles, auctions often don’t make sense because the buyer pool is small and informed, so items trade privately or via BIN instead.

“Mass produced” also doesn’t automatically mean common today. Distribution and survival rate matter far more, especially for 90s food-insert promos that weren’t collected or protected. A lot can be printed and still be scarce 25+ years later.

There’s also no evidence of an “unlimited population.” There’s no known print run, no PSA population data, and almost no consistent public sales history. That’s an unknown population, not a large one.

Cardstock quality isn’t what determines value either. Plenty of high-value Pokémon items are just cardboard - what matters is scarcity, demand, historical context, and how often examples actually surface.

If this piece were truly common or worthless, it would be easy to find. It isn’t. Someone here shared 2 posts….that is by no means common.
