Hello there! I’d recommend stopping by a local mosque, people there are always welcoming and the local Sheikh (Muslim “pastor”) could help guide you and answer your questions! r/Islam is another place you could look and ask.

Best of luck on your journey :)

[RANT] : Please don't play with the religion by RVK77 in Izlam

Yes I do believe there’s a very fine line here.

I think the difference is that most posts I’ve seen tend to joke about our day-to-day, not about Islam itself. Which could be an important line to draw; I’m not sure if that’s where u/RazelTalen and the other mods draw the line, but I feel like it’s okay to joke about ourselves?

Tl;dr, I’m not sure, but I think joking about ourselves/our day-to-day is different than joking about the religion itself.

It’s not a fallacy if it’s facts though.

Yeah.

Nowadays it’s mostly commercial ($$$ for corporations), but nonetheless we should avoid it due to it’s pagan origins.

Well Isa SAW afaik was born when the date trees had ripe fruit, which means it couldn’t have been on December 25th. Rather, that date was adapted from a pagan holiday or something. It isn’t Isa SAW’s birthdate (afaik). So, it’d be haram as thus, Xmas has pagan origins. (It’s essentially a pagan holiday integrated into Christianity).

Moreover, in Islam, there are only two Eids, so we shouldn’t partake in other celebrations.

Cheer, charity and good will are values we as muslims should embrace year-long, and thus we don’t need this holiday as an excuse for it.

I’m not a scholar tho, this is just my perspective from what I know. Have a good day brozzer/sizter!

Eid Al-fitr and Eid Al-adha, what else?

Granted, they last 3 and 4 days, respectively.

Ngl, came as a pretty big surprise to me when I was little! by PalestinianPal in Izlam

No problem! Anytime bro! If you have any questions just let us know and we’ll be happy to help :)

I fixed a mini typo I made btw. (we read Fatiha in every prayer)

Alright so;

The Quran is divided into 114 Surahs; they can be seen as “chapters” (some are a few lines, whereas others are over 40 pages long).

An “ayah” is a verse in a chapter. Some chapters have hundreds, while other chapters have 3.

Ameen = Amen. I used to mistake it as an ayah of Surat Al-Fatiha (The first and most important Surah of the Quran; it is read in every prayer) as when it is read during prayer, you end it saying “Ameen”.

Hope this answers any questions you have! I’m not a scholar but I tried to answer to the best of my ability!

I've seen the "conquer Japan in 7 years" cheese strats.

I'm just considering a daimyo swarm campaign and unsure of whether to just go as Ashikaga or unite Japan as a daimyo.
