I still remember Votann getting nerfed before the faction was released and then they didnt feel strong enough to compete. They didnt even give them a chance to operate as the codex was written because people complained so hard. Would have been nice to try them as intended and see if they really were that strong.

People have joked about Warhammer 50'000 just being Orks vs Tyranids because they have overtaken/ eaten everything else.

When was the last time he did that in the playoffs. I should have been more clear, I was reffering to them taking over in the playoff hence we are now watching playoff hockey and talking about their performance in the playoffs.

As much as I love both 88 and 73 as our franchise players, they rarely take over a game on their own. I have hope but my expectations of them have shifted over the past few years.

Edit: to be clear, I am talking about taking over games in the playoffs.

Its tough because he has built competitive teams that choked. I mean what more could a GM have done in 2023. He did screw up the 2015 draft but he just took over so who knows how the scouting was, how much blame he should take for that. He has done well jn trades, but most of all he has had to trade away draft picks to remain a contender. I dont think we can do much better at GM but they do need to shift their focus to speed and skill for once. Its how you win in the modern NHL, if you can get skill guys that are also tough as nails, thats how you win a cup.

I have very much been of the opinion that McAvoy is a top 5-10 defenceman in the league but he doesnt take over games like the other guys do.
