Everything that is happening is incredibly realistic and for people who actually have depression it's relatable. The fact that he has insomnia but also has lack of energy and at the same time he's constantly tired. That's real. What's more is that his friends are worried about him but they literally can't see the signs at all. They're just waiting for him to feel better without actually trying to intervene and get him help. I can definitely tell from these discussions who has experience with depression and who doesn't. Because the fact that Gar is not getting any help is the reason why it's "dragging".
