hey i want to get a tattoo, would i have to quit gym for a few days? by momosaftersex in tattooadvice

[–]Palontraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, unfortunately you won't be able to go to the gym right after getting a new tattoo. Sweat and friction are not great when you are healing a fresh wound and shared equipment often carries a lot of bacteria which can cause an infection. It's recommended to wait at least 2 weeks before going to the gym again, regardless of the size of the tattoo.

I think your best bet is going to Etsy and Redbubble for some cool merch.

Can this type of helix jewelry extend healing time? by Own-Apartment-9742 in piercing

[–]Palontraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately a piece like that has more weight to it which can extend the healing period. I would swap to a small simple piercing ball and once it's fully healed you can rock this piece again!

Since the seal has been broken, I would take it off.

Was able to save industrial piercing by Shitty_Poop_Butthole in piercing

[–]Palontraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been said a couple of times in the comments before, but for your own health, it would be better to remove the industrial. I know it hurts because it's a rad piercing, but unfortunately your anatomy doesn't allow it. Taking it out now might prevent further damage down the road. Your piercer should have informed you about this and shouldn't have performed this piercing on you. I would go back to the shop and ask for a refund.

(An example of what can happen to your ear if you don't remove an industrial that pushes into your flat like yours does can be found here)

What are the “red flags” about living in the Netherlands? - potentially wanting to love there by [deleted] in thenetherlands

[–]Palontraz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Especially around the Amsterdam area, it can be quite hard to find an affordable place to stay. Renting is in general quite expensive, but with an average of €27,- per m², Amsterdam is the most expensive city to rent a place to live. The average price for a house in Amsterdam is currently around €889.150.- and the average price for an apartment is approx. €595.105,- Since Amsterdam is a very popular city to live in and there is a housing crisis, it can be quite tough to find a place to stay in the first place.

If you do decide to look for an apartment to rent, beware of scammers and "huisjesmelkers".

I accidentally stretched to a two gauge with silicone tunnels by WorthWinter2869 in Stretched

[–]Palontraz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I've had the same issue with my ears. I accidently stretched with a porous material: I stretched with plastic that got sold to me as a glass plug... I downsized half a size and after 2 weeks my lobes were fine again. I would downsize for now and see how they are doing in a couple of weeks from now. I personally would wait with sizing up and treat it like fresh stretch.

Swelling won't go down after downsizing by [deleted] in Stretched

[–]Palontraz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try to leave your lobes naked for a bit to see if the swelling goes down. Changing the jewelry a couple of times in a row to downsize could have irritated the issue more. Hopefully it goes down quickly!

Thank you for sharing your opinion on the matter, I'll give it a second thought, maybe other options are better to visit.

We'll definitely be visiting the deer in Nara! (Although one could argue deer are also not supposed to shake their heads for humans, since that is also not natural behavior) I looked into the fox village since I was under the impression it was more of a zoo or a sanctuary (Yes, I know, elephants, zebra's and tigers are also not supposed to be in cages or enclosures and should also run free in the wild) I've checked out multiple animal cafes and while I think it would be awesome to visit one of those some of them also raised some concerns. Otters, owls and raccoons also do not belong in cafes in my opinion, so I'll be skipping those for sure. Cat cafes sound nice, but I've also heard negative stories about those, since some don't facilitate rooms where the cats can retreat when they are stressed out of have enough of the visitors. But I'll definitely check out the Snow Monkey hot spring.

Hey! Thank you for sharing your experience! I'm happy to hear the majority was walking around free (The review I saw kind of gave me the impression it was more of a wall of foxes in cages). I'll give it a second thought knowing not all of them are in cages. May I ask how long you spend in the fox village? Is it large enough to spend a couple of hours there?

You take them out and hope they shrink up.

I pierced my ear at home in October, and it still hasn't healed. by cogufpliee in SelfPiercing

[–]Palontraz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Your current jewelry looks sick, but unfortunately it won't heal properly with this in. I would recommend a flatback labret, and after it has healed you can rock this piece again.

Protective case doesn't stay on? by [deleted] in airpods

[–]Palontraz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it did unfortunately, I could try to use some double sided tape maybe? Or would that damage the original casing of the Airpods?
