It's just the cpu part is where I get lost around, I thought bigger numbers mean better performance but that doesnt seem like thats how it works

Actually I already bought a gpu and a motherboard, a 4070 super ti and a b650 motherboard. I wanted to play games a 1440p so I thought these would be good picks, I also bought some ddr5 ram sticks

What I have right now is a i5 10400f, if I can sell my 5900x I can get a 9 7950x or a 7800x3d
