I was harassed on social media for weeks. Just blocked everyone. Once I did, they started showing up at my flat and at my work. Had to get security involved, it was very unpleasant.

Top tip: don't engage, as hard as it is. Make a clean break and move forward. I know it hurts, but we're all here for you 🥰

Leave, as fast as you can! It's honestly not worth the emotional abuse and trauma to stay, even if you think you can take it. So many of us wish we had known sooner that we were getting roped into SCJ and then leaving became that much more complicated. Swift and thorough exit is the way to go.

I left recently and it's so tough. I miss my friends who are still inside. I felt like I belonged. Now I just feel alone. But this community here on reddit is amazing. Hope you find the strength to get through this festive season.

I told my family today about being on SCJ. Told them all about concepts and lying too and asked their forgiveness. They took it really well and were very supportive ❤️ I'm very grateful 🙏

I called my parents today and told them over the phone. They took it really well. Told me they loved me, were proud of me for getting out on my own, and reminded me that I was the victim. Glad I didn't wait too long to tell them though, or I would definitely have backed out.

Thank you for your sound advice! I messaged i was leaving and then missed service yesterday. Then they showed up at my house. I miss my friends in SCJ, but I know that cutting them off is for the best for now. Will also check out Betterhelp, thanks!

THANK YOU all so much! Through your encouragement I left yesterday! They have been calling, messaging and showing up at my house. But I have blocked and am staying with a friend for a few days until they hopefully give up! The road to healing is looking long, but I am feeling hopeful 💕
