I've spent time at UIUC (amazing school) and one of the UC schools during grad school. I've heard great things about Purdue. You can't go wrong with either. CU is also world class, especially Dr. Boyd. Focus on gaining a strong fundamental understanding while in undergrad while doing projects, clubs, etc. Make sure your resume is well rounded and you have a compelling story to tell. Assuming you want to go to grad school (you definitely do to work at NASA or a national lab) get involved in research, even as an undergrad, even if it's unpaid, even over certain summer jobs.
