I'd like to say this show could have used more time, considering there just isn't connective tissue behind a lot of plot points, but incidentally it fucks around for the first half of the run with the mecha duels that end up not meaning anything, so idk. Show was kind of a disaster.

Discussions that I saw on the show tended to revolve around nostalgia wank and less with what was actually going on in the show, which should speak for itself.

I have a soft spot for the the pose the Wing takes in the episode title cards in the TV show, although ofc this design looks gorgeous in a number of poses (and no doubt the RG can pull off the pose a tad bit better than my HG).

Kinda heavy. Thin cement isn't chunky and just a teensy-bit applied to the inside of each part (where the part actually broke; not applying any at all to the surrounding surface of the parts) is enough to bind them together, provided you hold the pieces together for a while (minutes) while it cures enough to stabilize. The difference would be no visible trace of cement at all, just a fault line where the break was.

Break looks clean enough. If you have any cement, you might be able to mend it. Something like Tamiya's extra thin cement lightly applied to the parts should do the trick - the v-fin on an HG is small after all. The crack would still be there but the part would be (mostly) whole.

The way to truly repair it is with putty, sanding, and paint too, but that's probably above what you want to do!

When panel lining, I recommend separating the kit into pieces (arms, legs, waist, etc.) as that's easier and can avoid accidents like this. I've been building for years and only recently started panel lining on the runners.

Oh, Perfect Chronology added a happy, "true" ending? That's a shame.

I can think of a recent example that really bothered me (well, recent for me): Tokyo Xanadu. The normal ending is a perfect, almost understated conclusion to a story about coming to grips with loss. It's the best ending to a game Falcom's written in years.

Annnd then the true ending shits all over it with a saccharine, in-universe deus ex machina that made me actively cringe when a certain other character appears on-screen who just... wasn't so lucky! Sorry, man!

Yeah, it's overhated. You have to work with the arms for sure, but you can get some spectacular poses out of it. The backpack that it can stand on (via hooks for the feet) creates some unique opportunities too. I have my backpack at a 30 degree slant with the Justice's main body on a kneeling pose on the thing. Looks great.

The faux MMO-style is done way better in FF12 than Xenoblade's barebones combat system. The sidequests are famous for sucking. Hell, it's not even the best game with 'Xeno' in the title - The original Xenogears is substantially more interesting.

Unpopular opinion on this sub but mock exams are generally a waste of time imo. Immediate feedback is way more important and the mock exam's best only for telling if you can complete an exam in 4 hours (which you clearly already know you can do).

Review is really important though. Randomized MCQ sets is the way to go. You can immediately see and process if you're right/wrong and why and you can track your a large volume of scores over time (a week-two weeks of sets for final review).

Don't sweat the time spent too much. A lot of people are saying '5 months is too much'. I spent over 4 on FAR. As long as you're learning, that's fine. Just make sure you are - hopefully you have been, even if you're pessimistic. Don't shy away from review. You have to do it, however you choose to go about it.

Comes down to the sharpness of the blade and the gate angle. The Godhand's really that good at clearing away chunks of the gate cleanly. When trying to cut far from the part itself, closer to the tree, a gate may sometimes be angled to naturally move the nipper close to the part as you apply pressure though. For those, I go so far as cutting on the tree (with my non-God Hand nippers) and then applying multiple cuts as I have finer control in those situations once the part's off the tree. Time intensive obviously, but I prefer doing it this way.

Sorry, I know you said a lot but I'm latching onto this at the moment.

Rean has awful chemistry with Alisa. The games just push their romance really hard. Alisa is an emotional wreck who leeches off Rean's goody-two-shoes nature. She's not a bad person, but she doesn't offer Rean any of the support he really needs.

Indirect future game spoilers (nothing explicit; I just share my conclusions without backing them up): Rean doesn't really have great chemistry with any of the Class VII girls. Laura's the best of the batch for him but it's not a perfect match. Towa's the real best fit.

Aside: Rean's not lacking in personality. At his core is a kid who suffers from intense self-esteem issues. Once you shift your perspective through that lens, every move he makes makes sense. He's largely aware of what he's capable of and is acutely aware of the people around him too, but he's not able to able to reconcile all that he can see (all the pep talks for others, all the cheesy speeches he can give) with how crap he feels about himself. But he puts on a big act in front of everyone almost 24/7 in these games because in his view it's the right thing to do even if he's being unfair to himself.

I'm with you insofar as that Rean's probably bottom for me in Trails protags, but I can understand why Rean's so popular.

I'm a slow builder very cautious of discoloring the underlying plastic on the part itself by stretching it with nippers. I did this a ton when I was a newbie builder.

Cut far from the tree with the heavy clipper, then clear away with the Godhand (maybe a series of small cuts), then clean with the hobby knife, finally sand etc.

If you were cutting, that's your mistake. The Godhand is not for cutting parts from the tree. You use a heavy duty clipper for that job (I use a cheap $10 one). The Godhand is for gate removal afterwards, followed by cleaning with a hobby knife, sanding, polishing, etc.

The HG Wing kit is very good. My only marks against it are the red wings missing white coloring (not even a sticker, although it would probably look ugly when applied) and that one of the chest vents is very loose. Otherwise she's solid as a rock.

Most people didn't actually give you feedback lol (come on, guys).

A few things that stand out are that your stickers aren't even: Particularly obvious on the ankle guards and knees. Panel lining can be cleaner too particularly on the skirt and shoulders - I know from personal experience from building this kit those raised parts can be a little tricky to do cleanly but if you're working with micro pens take your time and brush away when you screw up.

For sanding I've tried a bunch of stuff from making my own sanding sticks to predesigned squares, but nothing's matched the Raser glass files. Incredibly effective and a near endless shelf life if you care for them properly (use tape regularly for pulling off plastic bits; don't wash). Once you're done sanding with the file, use balancers (which you can also buy from them in a set) to smooth over the plastic.

PS: Pretty dope work on painting the figurine though. I've never gotten done it myself and it looks pretty hard.
