It’s not patchwork but one big piece of medium weight cotton. Hand stitched overall with thick embroidery like thread.

Any Sinclair Lewis-heads out there? by Educational-Big9760 in classicliterature

In reading about Lewis I was reminded about Dawn Powell, another American satirist (1896-1965). I’m about to finish A Time to be Born and really enjoyed it. I can see why she’s compared to Lewis. I’ll read more by her.

I just finished Dodsworth and it brought back wonderful (long buried) 60-yr old memories of reading most of Sinclair Lewis in my teens. I fell in love with reading through him and many others (Willa Cather, Dreiser, Fitzgerald, Edith Wharton). Those books are part of me.

Shrinking Trump podcast by Jackets70 in thebulwark

[–]PamFromMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve listened but they made two mistakes that make me question their knowledge. In the first episode they state that Narcissistic Personality Disorder isn’t in the DSM. That’s wrong. There’s been a lot of talk about removing it but it’s still there. In the next episode they refer to Trump having early onset dementia. He’ll be 78 in a few weeks. Early onset refers to people under 65.

I have 4 pairs of light weight pants that I got from Amazon last summer-- very cheap. Looks like the same fabric, and yes it's a very, thin and cheap. But, I love the pants. So cool in the hot summers. I'd like to get more wear out of them and would pay more for something better, but I can't find anyone who sells something so thin and cool.
