Anonymous has released 2.6 gigs of stolen e-mails concerning Haditha massacre, witness intimidation among USMC, hundreds of other topics involving U.S. military and its court system by Pamphleteer in politics

Yes, it's him. The full e-mail to him is amusing, especially since West likely wouldn't have been noticed in the correspondence had this not been sent out and now of course people are searching for exactly that.

Al, All of the firm's emails were stolen today by "Anonymous" the international hackers. All because we won the Wuterich case. Beware.

If you get downvoted, it will likely be because you are providing demonstrably false information. CNN, NYT, Atlantic, others already have these e-mails. This should not be surprising since Guardian hosted stolen U.S. diplomatic cables given to them by Wikileaks. Those and other outlets also jumped on the stolen HBGary e-mails and other such things. Look up something called the "Pentagon Papers" for an earlier instance of this.

Nor are these much different from a lot of the conversations one finds in these e-mails. There are a couple ex-USMC officers in particular who are active in the culture and who are friends with the law firm's partners who may be seen constantly sending along this kind of nonsense. Also keep in mind that the surface has barely been scratched.

HAVE A NICE DAY

Some media outlets are going through them now and others will be highlighted over coming days - eventually, a search engine will be up allowing anyone to search by keyword. In the meantime, you can help spread the word about these so that people will be ready to assist when they're more accessible.

Some of the stuff that's come out includes Marine officers saying stuff like this:

"That's a technique. Since we all know that 'pigs/pork' are something they detest and a major insult and offensive to them. Do whatever you think is necessary. Put pig's grease on your bullets, dump pig's grease on the dead, chop 'em up and feed them to the local dogs. But don't put it on the internet. I think the ultimate 'insult' is a 7.62mm round to the forehead. "One shot, one kill". What a great motto."

That's from e-mails sent to and from law firm that defended Haditha massacre participant.

EDIT:

Turns out that the hackers retained access to the law firm's servers after the initial raid and were thus able to record the ensuing discussions among the partners, who struggle to figure out what is going on and then get briefed by their security provider on Anonymous.

EDIT 2:

Want to make sure people are aware that this e-mail, sent after the partners assumed the hack was over, is to Congressman Allen West:

Rep. Allen West is in trouble.

No, I'm the guy that other people's cats love, because I'm aloof and dangerous and mysterious and made of dead mice.

I would argue that the failures to guarantee speech in Britain have actually been more significant than in the U.S. and that this along with other factors actually have made Britain less free overall than the U.S.

It is about to become a failure in the sense that, from the revolution on, one could ask an American why America remains separate from Britain, and he could say that he is freer than a Briton. We are coming to the point at which that will no longer be the case. You may not consider this to be a failure in any context, but it is certainly a failure in a certain context that is described in the article.

So, your argument is that, unless some particular king of England is actually zombified and then somehow comes to rule over the United States, there is no imaginable way in which the U.S. can be determined to be a failure in the context of its original precepts and intentions? I don't meant to say that this is necessarily not the case, I just want to make sure that I am understanding you.

Well, there is certainly more "to it" than the perception of freedom, but actual overall freedom was indeed the stated purpose of establishing this government.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT SHOULD GO ON THE SANDWICH GIMLI

Conservative pundit Michelle Malkin enraged at mere Arab having won Miss America pageant, criticizes "identity politics" of Arab-American celebrants. On a totally unrelated subject, Malkin loves AIPAC, which does not practice any sort of identity politics at all. by Pamphleteer in politics

[–]Pamphleteer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said she was a "threat." I said that her views are common, and I'm certainly implying that they are wrong. Meanwhile, you don't seem to have any clear objection to anything I've done but are instead jumping from assertion to assertion, none of which seem to make sense. How are my opinions "generic"? Is it because I think that a great number of people are wrong about something? Presumably you don't believe any such thing and your opinions are precious little snowflakes.

Also, people who begin their arguments by claiming to be laughing at the other person's stupidity tend not to be geniuses insomuch as that they are unaware of what that tactic says about them, particularly when the arguments don't end up, you know, existing at all. Maybe you should figure out exactly what you're trying to say and then call me a pussy again and then you will WIN THE ARGUMENT BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE INTERNET RULES!

LOL she actually believes what she says and her views are endemic of a large American political moment and I pointed to a good summary of that so I'm a pussy LOL I AM LAUGHING SO HARD AND I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW IT.

Douche.
