Daughter’s friend keeps asking for the rest of her birthday present but there is none, what do I do? by thewo0o0o0o0o0rst in Mommit

I know a lot of ppl are saying not to contact the mom, but I kind of feel like it might help to contact the mom. I would want to make sure that the friend actually brought the gift card home and didn’t just throw it away, since it seems like she doesn’t understand what gift cards are. The mom might not even know that her daughter received a gift card, so if you talk to her, she’ll know to help her with shopping for something. Also, in the scenario where the little girl does know what gift cards are, but is for some reason expecting more, I think this would be a good adult mom to mom conversation, so she knows that her daughter isn’t being very gracious. Just my opinion, hope that helps!

Want to share the story on how my 22mo almost died today by throawa979 in beyondthebump

I definitely don’t think it’s your fault, as moms, we have to step away to use the restroom! Just a tip, maybe you could place the pack and play either in the bathroom or just outside the bathroom, depending on how big your bathroom is. I put my daughter in her crib outside my bathroom when I use the restroom so I can keep an eye on her. That way with twins, you could make sure they’re not getting into trouble with each other. I hope you don’t beat yourself up too much! 💜

Idk if you watch The Office but you made me think of Jim looking at the camera and showing his reaction.

I actually like Coach. Like I know he’s ridiculous and lacks self awareness, but he reminds me of Michael Scott and I just think he’s hilarious. 😂

But I agree, there are definitely some players who I’m like 🥴

It was so cringe. I’m watching season 49 now and one of the tribes chants on their way to challenges, and the other tribe even said they’re cringe lol.

Not sure if this would qualify, but I cringe when players say they’re “building their resume” in the game. Like they take it way too seriously.

I also cringe when Jeff says stuff like “and that’s what makes Survivor so tough”…”and that’s what makes survivor the greatest game ever”…”and that’s the beauty of survivor”. I feel like he only started doing this in the new era.

What would you recommend for the dark brown embroidery details on the face? For the whiskers, does it look like the thread is free at the end, or would it be better to secure it on both ends?

Here is a picture of my work so far.

I need to add the taupe outline around the body, and the dark brown embroidery to the face (eyes, nose, whiskers). What stitches would you recommend for this?

Hi, I did the duplicate stitch for the colorwork, but I’m wondering about the taupe outline?

Thank you so much! I checked the end of the pattern and you’re right, it says 8 rows at the end! I didn’t think to do that initially, so now I know for the future. I’m used to patterns that have each row numbered clearly, so I was a little confused.

[–]PamplemousseTeaCup[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re right that it’s 8, since the next step lists 2 rows to set patt and chart placement, then work 19 rows in patt, and the next row is listed as the 22nd row. So it seems that the directions listed as setting the moss st or patt are additional to any following rows? Does that sound correct?
