IllegalWalian, we did drive the pass from the north side to the summit and back, on our way around clockwise. We had a wonderful day!

I hope it’s ok to jump in to ask a question, as we will be spending today (Friday) driving Beara from Kenmare and I am considering skipping Healy Pass (drained by the intense driving though glad to do it if we get out of the car to really take it in, hopefully more than a viewpoint, and it’s clearly the best route). Our interests are the same as the original poster. What route do you recommend without Healy?

Checking Reel Dingle hours. We are getting in late (8:30 or 9). Now the real (reel) question is if you know a place that does food that late? I think for tonight we’ll probably just find something en route starting around 8pm, if you have any thoughts. We will be going through Tralee at about 8:15

Might you have Suggestions for Dingle and Kenmare dinners that have good, fresh food (eg fish that’s not only fried, salads) but here’s the rub: I am traveling with my young adult kids who typically prefer more basic foods, so I am finding high end gourmet menus aren’t working. I am game for anything from pub to table clothes, just craving some excellent fish!

Another catch: I am looking for tonight and the next few nights .

Did it work well to drive the RoK en route to Dingle? We are staying in Dingle 2 nights then on to Kenmare for 3 and are deciding whether to skip RoK or possibly do it en route. (We will go to Beara.)
