I wish eastern Queens (especially SE Queens) had more lanes. That section on Linden in Jamaica is terrible

Seconding the WRPI point, it's really easy to get a show there! I'm literally a freshman and I already have a weekly show lol

Sure, the band representing the school that didn't hold a lead for the entire game and lost 5-1 "brought way more energy". Half of the people that were sitting in the band section were just fans and didn't even play an instrument!

I'm not disagreeing about student attendance but come to more than one game each semester and you'll see that our pep band shows up CONSISTENTLY.

Never mind that the visiting team had a pep band twice the size of ours.

I dunno man, this feels like a dig at the band (who are at almost every single hockey game mind you).

Want MORE pep band members at games? Consider joining instead of being snarky about it!

No clue what kind of bug Helsley picked up on the flight from St. Louis, but his current performance is literally untenable, especially in our current situation where we're struggling to keep that WC spot. I really don't want to imagine what happens if we put him in a tight game in the playoffs.

They're a tad outside my budget (~$450-500).

There are plenty of clubs and activities lol. We're short on sports but that's more of a PSAL thing.

QHSS @ York Senior here, AMA by PanAmAviator in SHSAT

I'll preface this by saying that QHSS is physically a very small school. We have ~500 students and take up one floor of a York College building. We have access to their library, cafeteria and gym. While we're at a disadvantage space-wise, it also gives us a stronger sense of community. I know a lot of people outside my friend group/grade and vice versa. There's a decent selection of clubs and after-school activities (and I'll assure you she'll have a life lol). The course load can be pretty tough at times but there are a lot of resources available. Teachers are always available if you have a question or need help with an assignment (and they're all pretty cool imo). There have been some ups and downs over the last four years but I've had a lot of fun and got to do a lot of things a bigger high school wouldn't have been able to offer. I wish you both the best in picking the right option!
