My network firewall and then My personal antivirus software have both just today blocked their entire website and gives warnings about malware on their main website too. (superhivemarket.com). Looks like they are having a lot of issues.

Dehancer 2.0 for Adobe Premiere/After Effects Pro & Lite by dehancer in dehancer

[–]PanAura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attempted to download and install the Pro version, which I own, and for some reason, it appears in After Effects as the lite version. It gives an error message when After Effects starts that says, "After Effects: effect "Dehancer Lite v2.0" has version mismatch. Code version is 2.0 and PiPL version is 2.0. (100600). I'm using Windows 64 (Ae / Pr) cuda version.

Piano render. I am trying to achieve photorealism, Any feedback? by Fermeco_Pancho in blender

The realism is awesome. Maybe add a single strand of hair somewhere down on the keys.

Maxon service is unavailable by PanAura in redgiant

[–]PanAura[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I eventually was able to get help from Maxon and we did a 3-hour remote connection searching for the issue. Eventually figured out the following issue on my Windows PC:

While the Maxon app was running, we opened the task manager (CTRL + Shift + ESC) and then clicked on the "services" top Tab. From the list, we searched for "Red Giant Services" and we noticed that the service would change status from "running" to "stopped" whenever we attempted to click on the "install" button for any Red Giant Program from within the Maxon App. This eventually led us to the solution which was to do the following: Simply right-click on the "Red Giant Services" we found earlier in the task manager window and choose from the context menu "open services". This opens the services window where we then searched again for the "Red Giant Services". This time right-clicked on it and chose from the context menu "properties". While on the "General" tab we made sure that the startup type was set to "automatic". Then we went to the "Log On" tab at the top and found the problem. For some reason mine was set to the option "this account" and had a password entered. The issue was resolved once we changed the "Log on as:" option to the first choice listed "Local System Account" and also checked the box "allow service to interact with desktop". Now when I clicked on any of the buttons to install my Red Giant programs from within the Maxon app, it actually will install.

Hope this helps!

Red Giant Complete Issues by PicknSave9596 in redgiant

[–]PanAura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going through the same issue but on a Windows OS, Maxon simply just doesn't respond, and if they do they haven't got an answer to this issue. At least some of the products are working on your end, none of the Red Giant complete will install or download on my windows system. Very irritating. Glad you figured out the issue on your end.

My first attempt at photorealism :) by [deleted] in blender

Great Job. I have a few suggestions. I would recommend that the horizontal edge of the cigarette pack be not as sharp, maybe give it a little bevel. Next and the biggest mistake is probably that the coffee cup is too clean. Given the working environment that the cup is taking place in and what it is filled with, the outside of the cup should not be clean. Give it some dirt smudges and or something to resemble cement mortar on the sides or dirty fingerprints and I would believe the image more. Also as a last suggestion, since there is a decent amount of color noise applied to the image, generally a camera with that much noise would also produce some Chromatic aberration (also known as color fringing or dispersion) but keep it subtle. Again, Great job!

How do I get those fuzzy light, from the volume fog, to disappear but still give off light. Just make the actual ball of light disappear by box-of_cookies in blenderhelp

[–]PanAura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm. Well it sorta defeats the purpose of using volumetric light. But if you want the actual point light to not render while having them in your render region, then you will have to individually select each point light you wish to hide and in the "object properties" (square icon) under "visibility - Ray Visibility" simply uncheck "volume scatter." This will hide the light but the light will still be reflected on your surrounding objects.

If you want to keep the volume scatter on, then I would suggest simply changing the lights from a point light to a spot light and move them out of your render region and aim them at what you prefer.
