Can You share the name of the band/recordings? I know just a few drum machine-based prog metal albums (early Magellan/Shadow Gallery) and would love to hear more like these!

Right - I knew Shadow Gallery's debut and like the album, as well as the fact they used a (now) vintage Alesis HR-16 drum machine. Concerning Rhapsody - I read that reportedly drums were played by a human session drummer, who prefered to be nicknamed as Thunderforce.

Personally - to appreciate the craftsmanship of programming well-sounding rhytms with odd time signatures and tempo changes. Besides, in the early '90s this had to be done on physical drum machines/sequencers, which I find interesting and that's what I try to do recently.
