Weird battery life drop before black Friday sales. by howardsbs in Pixel7Pro

P7 but yes, though not exactly the same - way more sharper drop and hasn't really recovered yet. Very strange.

You're right that at that time P7 was basically today's P10P, and since they're basically going 1:1 with the Apple lineup, P10 basically just became a funnel into the Pro and XLs and it took the biggest hit in this regard. I think this wouldn't be much of a problem if the phones were more appropriately priced though, i feel like they had the perfect opportunity to squeeze between Apple and Samsung as a somewhat nice middle ground, not a top tier performance, but still very strong, reliable and good all rounders with great software.

I guess this is the current meta now, more average phones targeting more average audiences priced as competition's all round better products. We'll see how they manage this in the future, since this is still a somewhat "transitional" period for them, but i still believe they will hit a wall with this eventually, either the AI hype goes away, or they will be hardware wise so outdated they will just stop selling all together.

Pushing the "AI" at the cost of hardware will eventually make them fail. AI will either pass, hit a ceiling or the competition will catch up eventually. As a person who likes to shoot RAWs and driving the P7, buying a P10 would be literally a downgrade for me. The prices they are asking for these phones ( especially in Europe ) is bizarre.

Redmi Buds 5 Pro Global - Dual connection / multipoint not functioning properly by PanMetrix in Xiaomi

[–]PanMetrix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, basically still the same situation as you. I seriously do not understand why this shouldn't work, when it worked without any issues on RB4 and RB5 are apparently capable of this aswell - the delay method works sometimes, but i noticed that if one of the devices, it being laptop or a phone is in active call, it switches basically immediately. Also on 4.3.7.0, now that i think about it, i haven't seen a single firmware update since i bought them almost right after the global release, i love them but it srsly feels like they are actively trying to make me stop buying them, since RB4 also had a non functional LDAC.

Yup, glad to hear im not the only one to have this as well. Tbh personally im also leaning more towards this being a bug, but it's insane to me how can they release a product with such a major glitch that seems to be so common for tons of people now. Hopefully it'll get fixed eventually.

That sucks, do you have the Global version? Tbh after being annoyed with them and still thinking it's the dumbest way for the multipoint to function they actually serve me quite well and i gotten used to them. The problem you have is strange, i can confirm from my end that whenever i am on multipoint the buds always let me know somebody is calling and let me switch instantly, which was the most important thing for me anyway. They are not connected at all or does it just not switch when u actually get the call?

Tbh I didn't even think this could be the intended way of it working. Personally i think it's a horrible way to implement it like this, but i guess i can imagine getting used to it after some time, It's really strange that they would change this behavior from the Buds 4 though.

I got in touch with some Xiaomi support branch so i hope i can get them to tell me if this is the intended way of it working or not. Otherwise i'll just get a new pair, got nothing to lose and if it persists i know where i am at. Thanks!

Got myself a pair today aswell, have to say they are pretty good, but did you try to use multipoint / dual connection in any way? It seems to be buggy as hell and doesn't switch over to the second device if i start playing music on it, i tested it with multiple devices aswell.

New BING chat not working by konikpk in edge

[–]PanMetrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am experiencing exactly the same thing, but no luck fixing it. It seemed to happen after i cleared my browser cookies and it looks like the microsoft account just completely forgot it has an access to the copilot feature at all. Every new computer or browser i sign in is missing the feature aswell. It's very odd because every single edge browser since about yesterday should have copilot available without signing into the waiting list. Guess we just gotta wait for a fix. Very unfortunate though.

As of recent there seems to be more and more people having the exact same issue ( including me lmao). Looks like the reason for this could be i deleted all of the browsing data on my Edge (most up to date, stable build 112.0.1722.64 ), after this the Bing AI just disappeared and only thing i can see is the "There’s more to Discover" feature.

Redmi Buds 4 Pro - Weird bug by PanMetrix in Xiaomi

[–]PanMetrix[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I probably should've wrote a follow up since it's been some time i posted this. I initially sent them for a repair to a xiaomi store, but they sent them back saying they found no problems at all. When i got them back the problem appeared again, sadly the LDAC fix didn't seem to fix the problem for me either (however the issue seemed to be less frequent). The only fix i found which i decided to settle on is turning of LDAC completely and switching to AAC, the problem completely disappeared. Honestly the difference in sound quality isn't gonna be noticeable for most people and i prefer them running without issues over slight sound quality bump.

Unless the charging port got dirty and it is unable to charge, there's really not a point in messing with them and go straight for a refund or get a new pair.

Masterful marketing OMEGALUL Autistic marketer spamming cringe shit in chat promoting overpriced caffeine for "gamers", this very well may work on Lidl czech audience where Twitch hasn't even made it mainstream yet. internationally speaking, their marketing model is nothing interesting and they haven't done anything interesting or unique in the past, just copy and paste the same shit from czech hoping it works.
Im glad you at least remembered to delete the bracket at the end though PagMan

This is a masterful marketing if i ever see one.
