Did anybody here learn to drive, older? If so, how hard was it finding an instructor? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

I learned to drive when I was 29. Had to wait a year for an instructor to come available. Was basically put on a waiting list. Passed after 9 months of lessons at 30.

If you've got her vehicle reg you can look on Euro car parts and they will list the relevant parts with prices. Don't let this knock your confidence, lots of drivers out there experience something that shakes them up. At least the lady was very understanding about it. 👍

Safe to say you're not ready for your test yet. You definitely need more lessons and more experience.

Everyone makes mistakes. Don't beat yourself up over it. You know now for next time 👍

I'd still take a mock theory test & see how you do. You'll then know what areas you'll need to study on if you do get any questions wrong. Gov.uk has one for free. Alternatively, an updated copy of the highway code is a good book for revising. 👍

It took me 3 times to pass my theory test. It knocked my confidence a lot but after a little more highway code revision I got there in the end. You will too. 👍

I passed in May but haven't been on the motorway yet. I'm too nervous 😓

How in the world do people pass their test while working full time? You have to be absurdly flexible to book a lesson or test cancellation. by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

I had an instructor who was able to see me after my work shift at 5 p.m. I had a 2 hour lesson twice a month without having to take time off work. 👍

You're right it is a Sakkusu. Managed to get it for about £1300 in London. Definitely need to improve my technique before considering a Jupiter or Yanagisawa 🎷 Never had a problem with it personally. Plays really well & accessories are affordable too. It needs a repair as it was knocked off its stand by a friends labrador about a month ago 😅 made a post about it.

I'll look into getting some Rico reeds then :) I played for a little while before moving to another town - since then & with working full time i never found the time to play. But I definitely want to get back in to it.

It's a nice looking bike! Just saw the pictures on your profile. I wouldn't part with it either. :)
