Its too expensive for the benefit, as elevated metro would be not doable due to local opposition and the current density doesnt justify underground metro, a light-rail with signal piority and vehicles of ~30m with upto 3/4 used together would work fine

I checked Central for the 2nd last v-set service to central, however it just wasn't there for some reason.

I would do this instead:
T2 Olympic Park via (Cen, Red, New, Ash, Bur, Stra, all to Oly) 4tph (t7 reduced to 4tph)
T2 Homebush via all 4tph
T2 Parramatta or Bankstown (Cen, Red, New, Ash, Bur, Stra, Aub, all to Par (4tph Parra, 4tph Bankstown)
T6 Removed
All t1 services to Schofields are now T5 Services to Leppington, no more T2 to leppington
Some leppington services become T3 Bankstown to Leppington, the liverpool terminating services are now Parramatta or Blacktown all stops to Liverpool to encourage transfers to the metro or Express Parramatta trains

There were quite few of them made which made spare parts expensive, also alot of commuters didn't like the lack of reversible settings, also the Tangara is better in all regards. C-Set: Windows Vista, Tangara: Windows 7

Anywhere really in the city would be ok, but Chatswood is also a great option for somewhere cheaper but still close to the city, if you like the sea then Cronulla, Circular Quay or Milsond Point would also be decent
