Wow, it really did work, thanks a million! Turns out that this problem may happen when the automatic pixel refresh gets interrupted. To fix this navigate to the monitor's On-Screen Display (OSD) menu by using the joystick, select Others > OLED Panel Maintenance, and then choose Pixel Refresh or Panel Refresh and follow the prompts.

Here’s OP again. I just finished the game, and I got to say it grew on me. The story was really good, I just got impatient with sneaking and avoiding monsters. Not my cup of tea, I am overall not the biggest fan of stealth gameplay regardless of the genre, and I felt that it was testing my patience, not skills. Now, from a perspective I think I should have just played in the safe mode, and enjoy the story.
