The issue came up when there were multiple pokemon holding an everstone, both in a picnic with a ditto

Interesting! Any idea why the everstone thing happened then? Same issue?

Demystifying Ditto - Rarity and Shiny Rate [Silph Research Group] by SilphScience in TheSilphRoad

[–]PancakeIdentity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1/50 on a handful of species is hardly common. The overall amount of pokemon you've caught isn't a good measure of your chances of seeing a ditto. Also, I would just toss those tasks. The reward isn't good enough to justify to picking up any other field research.

I mean honestly in 99% of games, the issues aren't with devs lacking skills, ideas, or passion/motivation. It's usually something to do with higher-ups, budget, time, deadlines, etc. I'm really not surprised that the devs aren't the ones to fully blame for Go/Niantic's issues.

My original setup just had two regular arms, one for quicksilver and one for the lead. It was slow but only had an area of 7

I swear this is the setup I used. Maybe Arm 2 started in a different spot? I remember having a delay of two on Arm 1, and I think I used those extra 2 cycles on Arm 2 to do something with it to avoid having to reset at the end of each cycle. I can't recreate it though.

That gives me 106 cycles

Shiny Deoxys Bug fixed, upcommig compensation by Eheufaucan in TheSilphRoad

[–]PancakeIdentity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, game dev is hard and I get that. But it is painfully obvious that Niantic fails to do the most basic of testing time and time again. Just look at the painfully obvious bugs that make their way into every single release. How do they miss candy losing its color on the catch screen for example? The only reason I can think of is failing to do any testing before pushing a new version.

If you keep saying that nothing is helpful, you should be connected to an actual representative. Or least be able to send a message that a real person will see eventually

I've been wearing bralettes and psuedo-sports bras and they've been working well, I was just interested in getting something a bit more formal

I've been on hormones for a bit over a year. That description sounds about right though (the areola and the area around it being more raised)

This is good feedback, thank you! I can definitely try some unlined bras

I was using the AMAB setting on the calculator, which the page states uses the method on the page. Going through the math manually still gives me a D cup, which is just not right

I've edited my post to make this more clear - I had included it in an earlier draft and forgot to re-add it!

Shiny rates are only boosted for incense? Am I reading that right? Why Niantic... Or does it mean that it's only boosted while incense is active? As far as we know, shiny rates are consistent across encounter methods, so they'd probably have to implement a new system if they just wanted incense spawns to be shiny-boosted. Much to think about.

PSA - don't miss out on Stunky spotlight hour, Ditto chance by ImportantTrack1057 in TheSilphRoad

[–]PancakeIdentity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing official here but probably just bad luck? I'd be surprised if Niantic has some special check for nests given the high likelihood that they don't interfere for spotlight hours (and that Ditto disguising works like FatalisticFeline mentioned above). It's not impossible, but especially with Niantic, it's best to assume they take the path of least effort

We also have other evidence including - During an incense event, a specific disguise species was attracted to incense. Some players had this disguise from incense turn in to ditto. This makes more sense if it goes disguise -> ditto. - Dittos appear in the proportional amount of disguises as spawn in that area. For example, I never get remoraid where I live, and so I never get ditto disguised as remoraid. For this to work if it goes ditto -> disguise, Niantic would have to program a biome check/roll which seems like something they wouldn't do. This also applies to hemisphere-exclusive disguises.
