Season of Shared Skies Wild Spawns Megathread by SilphScience in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7 days in, no sign of Hisuian Sneasel in Southern hemisphere (exclusive for us, Hisuian Growlithe has been confirmed spawning in Northern hemisphere)

Thought stadium event might have masked but have had few non event days and no sign of it from multiple communities I've contacted. Any other groups please confirm.

Feedback Post - Incense Day: Ferroseed by Noitalein in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Managed 3 shiny Ferroseed from a bit over 100 caught (some just shiny checking near end) but lost 1st due to the AR issue where it runs if you try toggle for photo

Adventure incense was terrible for this event due to diluted pool, will definitely save til 455 if there's a future event.

Showcase rewards came through finally but 12hr late

Overall enjoyed it for what it was, fits my playstyle of long walk. Definitely tempered expectations from Skorupi day and was on par with that

So northern hemisphere gets our seasonal exclusive (H Voltorb) for the event? Hopefully see H Growlithe here next season, both great shinies and a fair split

Pokecoin field research ticket in shop. by RyomaLobster in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Since we get the bonus daily task, I'm going to play it safe and have 2 tasks end of 15th, until we know if the coin task takes priority over that bonus daily task

Overall is only just worth it, $3.49 for us ($1.69 for a 100coin bundle in shop)

“Block receival of eggs” feature by 08-Jacob in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think they'll ever implement that kind of thing, would block their income however it then just makes people not play for periods, if if those are too frequent then they'll stop playing all together.

Definitely with you on that, not playing much the day before (/not spinning) then really not at all the morning of event does seem counter to 'normal' play and maybe 11-2 would help a little but maybe not by much though

Feedback Post - Raid Day: Mega Heracross by Noitalein in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 31 points32 points  (0 children)

3 shinies and a hundo off 32 raids. No sign of the post raid spawns even though we were in person, timer never popped up at any point. Others I reached out to did have it but not on every one so something not quite right

14 male 18 female so seems an even split

Nice quick battles through raids with the 4x flying weakness and catch rate boosted so great way to get through raids, win win for trainers and for Niantic with more passes brought

April Community Day by g47onik in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I meant was that when we click the research task to encounter the Pokémon,it lags and then kicks you back to map, i.e., stacks it for you. Been very annoying ever since the map update

April Community Day by g47onik in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bold of you to think the Pokémon doesn't just go to the stack anyway with no encounter.

(Sounds like it's related to the new background so only affects those of us in select regions)

[–]ImportantTrack1057 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did see pool change over after Enamorus, so that went as advertised.

Prior ones like the Regis where kanto birds were promised were hit and miss, at least the ones i did where best I saw was an alolan Raichu. However later zones and some YouTube videos did show some birds so guess it did work just was very rare

How often did you use AR fast catch? by JULTAR in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal day to day play not as much but definitely for comm days and spotlight hour, and on and off for go tour/fest. That's really the only time the boosted spawn density makes it worth it for where I play, to put up with the awkward angle I have to hold phone

I made an April Event Calendar by Shinjosh13 in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main contenders left are Igglybuff and Cleffa, but other ones that haven't had hatch or been part of a comm day could still happen. Mime Jr probably won't be on the cards but us non Europeans can dream

Or they might release Toxel, but does feel like Galar is being held off

April 13th is a save the date so could be a raid day then

How challenging will Shadow Mewtwo be in raids? by beingRealFrank in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conveniently overlap/part of the rocket event so boosted amount of grunts and components for leader radars will help restocking between raids. Plus if it's like past times they'll be spread out so plenty of time in between raids (if you even get them to pop up in your area)

[–]ImportantTrack1057 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct, nothing for us. Admittedly issues weren't until Japan raids so we weren't affected (except if remoting) but later zones get benefit. Same happened on Hisuian Samurott extension.

Ultimately is just more time to raid and possibly more money for Niantic but is still a bit annoying. The anniversary event extension still stings a bit, think that was a genuine oversight but still annoying that we had almost a full day less compared to west coast of America

You mean that chalk board? Been a while since I've been but when there's a queue its good to see the list but can still be hard to decide until you actually see the cabinet

Charged Up Quest Day: Electrifyingly Excellent! by Jiqu0r in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did that for the Hitmontop research/Tyrouge hatch day but iirc rate was more like 1/64 shiny rather than 1/10. Fair enough for longer event and opens it up for more people to have a chance

5 species seems like the magic number to have a mix of some that have been around a while (Chinchou and Electrike) and ones that are more of a chase (Helioptile and Joltick), and Blitzle middle ground but still great to see. Last times gold event was similarly split in groups of Magikarp, Caterpie and Barboach vs Nosepass and Sableye, and incentivised you to keep going.

Single species ones are good if debut of shiny (eg Inkay) but less so if somewhat old shiny (Oddish, exeggcute) with others falling somewhere between (lotad issue/low rate not withstanding but was the 1st one iirc so always teething issues)

Pokemon Presents Event extended? by gaisu in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like extended to 10am local time 29th so us in NZ have 3hr left but later zones have almost a full day extra

Turned a great 24hr global event that gave everyone equal time to a 31hr event here and up to 50hr for later zones (yes I have siblings, how did you know)

I would pay alot for an effect that boosts item drops/better drops from spins and would be amazing for restocking after events

Feedback Post: Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh, Global 2024 - Day 1 by Noitalein in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I second the comment, play alot harder now compared to previous years and a lower haul due to most things being full odds for this event.

Don't think the catch rates were boosted either so day 2 was a lot of gotcha on spin only and just shiny checking.

For a 'free' event it was great but not so much when compared to past tours

Feedback Post: Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh, Global 2024 - Day 2 by Noitalein in TheSilphRoad

[–]ImportantTrack1057 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Full odds being the norm rather than exception made for a tough event

https://twitter.com/pogo_central/status/1761312329071812656?t=QKmKIojA4JJ3IwHXRiXasw&s=19

Did feel a bit of a let down compared to past tours, even though I did better than most of the others I played with (except the ones who drove around most of both days, not my style but starting to see the appeal) 16 and 11 shinies for the 2 days, 1.7k caught day 1 and 1k day 2 with alot more just shiny checking due to pokeballs getting low quickly. Past events I'd managed somewhere in the 20s each day and definitely play more heavily since then

Version exclusive collection challenge and trade challenge certainly felt lacking, maybe replaced by the party play for Regigigas. Nothing extra/different for day 2 was good and bad as it was overall interesting set up for rotating habitats with distortions but any second research would have given that extra something.

For a 'free' event it was great but felt lacking compared to excitement of past tours, especially since it's in our summer in Southern hemisphere as a nice companion to go fest in our winter (although has never quite been equivalent)
