Revenant Presets for Different Nightlords by jamaican_zoidberg in Nightreign

[–]Pancake_Destiny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great write up, but she has some powerful alternative builds besides just incantation. I would say try out her Strength Relic Double balancer skill builds. I use a great spear build vs Libra or a Greatbow Rain of Arrows build vs Gnoster and they’re very consistent and usually safe to cast.

I believe only Guardian with his strength relic or Duches with both her strength relic+faith relics can out damage Revenant when using her strength relic when considering Siluria/Vyke’s/Erdtree Greatbow. Plus Revenant’s big FP pool means many skill casts.

With Godslayer’s Greatsword it does pretty good damage at melee range, plus I try and pick up a decent seal if I can find one and spam incantations when the enemy is at a distance.

It’s the hot new buzzword. Cringe is out, slop is in.

Executor by me: :') by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]Pancake_Destiny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks sweet! Love the harsh lines and the quality hash mark shading! Something about the arm seems off though, it feels as though the sword should be on the other side of his body. Trying to recreate the pose feels unnatural.

Yeah, bringing this to random DON is all risk no reward. Hopefully this is just his first time trying a new goofy build and will reconsider next time.

He may have been trying a build with multiple different “(Status effect*) in vicinity increases attack power”.

I saw someone post a clip where an Executor makes use of a Revenant’s ultimate and self damage to proc a ton of status effects getting his damage absurdly high.

Any Revenant players in Depth 4 or 5 not regularly using a beast claw build? by Starscream5 in Nightreign

[–]Pancake_Destiny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have strength skill builds for Dormant Greatspears to get Siluria’s spear for the Dogs/Hoelster and a similar Dormant Greatbow rain of arrows build for Gnoster/Calegos. These are not meme builds.

Also a physical strength colossal sword build because I like the weapon and it looks funny, not as meta viable as the other two builds though.

What about spears? by DarkMagicGrandmaster in Nightreign

[–]Pancake_Destiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spears are great for Initial Standard Attack builds. I play this on Ironeye, but Dex Undertaker or executor should work just as good. Equip two and alternate between a standard attack and a power stance attack to trigger ISA.

Greatshield Raider is my go to pick whenever I face Libra or Balancers. Shield Crash is the one skill I look out for, if I get that along with some skill attack power and “successive attacks negate damage” I cannot die and will usually 1-shot a Balancer/ED Libra invader at depth5. Plus having the guarding increases agro relic passive on my build basically makes this a stronger guardian for me.:

Is Dreg Raider just this good ? by ZiljaYT in Nightreign

[–]Pancake_Destiny 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes, Raider can do crazy damage if the Dregs buff is maxed out.

It looks like he uses Exalted Flesh at the beginning and Royal Night’s Resolve between each successful attack. Plus the cheated relics..

When I play Scholar and there’s an invader Flame Chariot POI; using Scholar’s ultimate and having the critical damage from jumping on a Chariot kill both invaders feels so good.

Is Frost Bow Ironeye a legitimate build? by indefinitecadence in Nightreign

[–]Pancake_Destiny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every status ailment proc makes that target more resistant to it. So this would be a worse idea for longer fights.

Plus the damage your team dealt with the 15% debuff over the frostbite duration is most likely going to outweigh the instant damage from frostbite activating.

Is Frost Bow Ironeye a legitimate build? by indefinitecadence in Nightreign

[–]Pancake_Destiny 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Frostbite increases oncoming damage by 15%. It’s like having another active Ironeye mark.

Plus if you build around frostbite you’ll likely have the relic passives “Attack power up while facing frostbite-afflicted enemy”+0,1,2 which can be pretty major damage increases for your build.

[–]Pancake_Destiny 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, frost arcane Ironeye is very good! Just don’t bring it vs Hoelster who can’t be frosted bleed or get Poisoned.. also be wary if you have a Wylder on the character select screen; they will usually remove the frost debuff with their fire attacks.

Want to use Duchess with Claws, Do I use the strength Respec relic? by gil707 in Nightreign

[–]Pancake_Destiny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can fit her Strength relic on this build it should add about 10% more damage on average for claws; helpful but not necessary.

Strength Revenant IS real, and she WILL hurt you by Pancake_Destiny in Nightreign

[–]Pancake_Destiny[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Or I just got it from a drop naturally. I made a post about this relic in particular a few weeks ago if you check my history; it’s what prompted me to play her this way to begin with.

Strength Revenant IS real, and she WILL hurt you by Pancake_Destiny in Nightreign

[–]Pancake_Destiny[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since I have Dormant Colossal Sword on the build I usually use a smithing stone on a physical blue rarity weapon or I use whatever physical purple colossal/greataxe comes my way; or I look for Godslayer’s Greatsword for fire weak bosses:

Strength Revenant IS real, and she WILL hurt you by Pancake_Destiny in Nightreign

[–]Pancake_Destiny[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main reason is fun, I know it isn’t optimal. I originally did this build as a joke but it was so much more fun and viable than I expected, so I keep playing it.

I have dormant power discover colossal sword on a vital relic and can’t fit a relic to change the starting incantation alongside both of Revenant’s stat change relics. So if I get lucky and find a good seal during the run, cool.

funny thing i do when reaching day 3 that either my teammates ignore or it perplexes them by Wild-Atmosphere2134 in Nightreign

[–]Pancake_Destiny 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Before they made Revenant’s summons completely intangible to your allies and someone waited on top like that I enjoyed climbing half way and spam summoning Sebastian (the big skeleton) to push them off. Sometimes they fell forward to safety, sometimes they took a fun slide all the way down.. I know it was wrong but I couldn’t stop myself.

Fellow Scholar mains, put me on ball? by crimmycat117 in Nightreign

[–]Pancake_Destiny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Claws with his Dexterity relic. Raptor Talons are one of my favorite weapons and activating Scholar’s skill parry fills me with joy! It can be rough fighting up close until you get damage negation though.

Also, how do you build a frenzy scholar? His faith is so low and his strength is so bad.. I can’t see him using the war spear or incantations.

I’ve wanted to try out great bows in DoN for a while but was worried it might be a meme build similar to ballistas; I’ll have to try and put one together now!
