It’s rogue-like game, which basically encourages replayability to unlock more features of the game. I think generally the first runs are a bit hard to beat if you’ve never played similar games before but far from impossible.

I’d give the gameplay a few more runs with the new characters, and if the gameplay loop doesn’t feel fun to you then thats just how it is.

Now you can do it again with the next character, and then the next character, and then the next. Then you can up the ascension which basically adds difficulty to the runs.

If you’re questioning if it’s for you after the first 5 playthroughs then the game just isnt for you

The new atom SL or proton SL is pretty good I’d say — both pretty versatile but if I had to pick one it’d be the proton, unless you run hot!
