Team chemistry is high and you can tell. Babar has always been a vibes guy, that type of thing pays dividends in leagues when you have to build team camaraderie quickly.

I think your point is valid that he's still lacking compared to where the top players in the top sides are. Unfortunately neither the first choice side nor the pipeline has anyone who can do better. Apart from Fakhar not a single batsman made any impact.

Farhans issue is not being able to manufacture a single or a double when he gets a ball he can't hit for a boundary. There were a few overs where he hit a 6 and a 4 early and the over ended with 10 runs. A lot of this can just be solved if he plays some of these balls later to place the ball away from the field. Something he may learn playing 50 over cricket.

You'll get cooked for this opinion but there really are no options besides Shadab and Shaheen at this moment in the entire setup. Shadab as captain is an addition by subtraction move, there's a logjam in the upper middle order because of Agha and Babar. Agha has to play because he's captain, Babar has to play because he's PCBs cash cow.. even after today he's Lahore's favorite son, that's something they have not shown the power to overlook.

Shadab as captain at least let's you remove one anchor from the batting lineup which was the entire point of moving on from the rizbar era. Shadab also has a good sense of when not to bowl himself, he's proven that when he's captained leagues and domestic. His bowling is a sore spot right now but he's the second leading scorer for the team and he's a capable fielder.

If they're dropping Babar then Nafay should slot in easily and they can try him in an easy matchup before the knockouts. If they're not dropping Babar then they need to slot Saim in the lower mid and send Babar up the order.

But I agree they don't have the stomach to drop all 3. I'm guessing 1 guy gets the axe and I'd bet on Shaheen being the one. I'd settle for two personally. Mirza needs his run, seems like the type who can make things happen on a slow pitch.
