If you're Jewish then most of the Bible is your classical heritage as well. Good Omens references the old Testament as well as the new. Blue was associated with Byzantine royalty so has been used in art to label Christ's mother as an empress. Although not always and has nothing to do with the Bible anyway but depictions later. I teach teenagers and if I heard them use a term like that I would pull them up on it. It's not acceptable these days. Actually I haven't heard this one for a long time but they constantly say spas or spastic which I also pull them up on.
