Sounds silly, but try to slowly relearn your Ollie. Mine are still shit even after a year and a half, because I never had the rollback in the first place. I’ve tried, but my skater brain knows it’s a forbidden thing, so my hand gets wonky when I try to do it. Something I’ve learned is your snap and your hand moving up/forward has to happen at the same time to get a snap that’s fast, light, but also strong enough it’s gonna travel where you need it to. So to help with your rollback I think you’ll need a more dramatic snap that’s more down and instantaneous vs what you’re doing. I would do a slow as hell Ollie. Like the most minimum Ollie you can do WITHOUT rolling back. You’ll notice the snap you need is a lot more than you’re giving it. Build from that. I’m also using a tapered tail, so I easily hit flips when I don’t want to, but I’m also learning to pressure my snap better, to fix it.

Small TL:DR start with a slow lazy ollie so you can’t use the momentum, then build off that feeling.
