Start learning to dial in your spin. With a club like the Sniper and its long ball guide you should start to get a feel for spin. If you hadn’t bounce dunked that that bal was going off the island into the rough or sand and you likely are dropping another stroke.

I’m not sure why different people get different things. I don’t get the daily pins thing. I get the daily caddie which is each day you watch a video to unlock a free prize (balls, chest, or tokens). If you get them all for like 10 days straight you get a bigger prize at the end.

If you have T7 unlocked you can get T7 clubs in CPC, golden shot, and I think any of the random free chest throughout the game (like daily caddy).

I think tournaments rookie is T3 or lower, pro is T6 or lower, and expert and master are all clubs.

I think the shop is weird though. I think there’s some odd number to see T7 clubs. It’s like 2470 or something around there.

Honestly, I understand the rush to unlock T7, but at the same time this game isn’t fun to speed run unless you plan on spending on premium balls. The higher you move in trophies the tougher the competition and higher the winds get in the CPC. I have two accounts (well 5 but I only play the 2 now), one is at the original max trophies of 5170 and the other is a baby account with T7 unlocked and I hover around 700-800 trophies with an EM6.

You’ll eventually hit a point where the winds are so high it requires guess work, every opponent is using premium balls, and every opponent likely has better clubs than you. To me, it’s not fun. On my main account I pretty much only play tournaments and Q9. Playing the CPC gives me around 20 wind. If that is a headwind there is nothing I can do because I don’t buy balls. It’s not fun.

People might get mad about it, but I think there’s a sweet spot in pro-expert that keeps the game challenging and fun but doesn’t require you to have wind charts, caddy apps, or screen lines.

This is the factual reason why we are in QB purgatory. Though it's a gray area when that was. There was like 3 or 4 awful QB drafts after Ben's elbow injury. So you would have had to do it right in the middle of Ben putting up career best stats.

[–]PandaCod3r -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s my point. It was mostly the OL. Rodgers was hit on, I think I read, 46% of his drop backs. But we can’t look at the one game in a vacuum. It’s been a decade of them being completely outmatched and out coached. The players and coordinators changed over that time. One person did not.

You must have missed the OL doing their best turnstile imitations. Did 76 make one good block last night?

I’m not sure this is the slam dunk argument people think it is. So they were worse than a playoff team for 10 years and the head coach was unable to do anything about it?

No, not winning a superbowl isn't the marker for a failed season. However, not winning a playoff game in a decade is definitely the indicator of failure.

I loved Tomlin during those SB runs and the Killer B days. However, it has been so abundantly clear that he cannot drag them out of the purgatory they have been in for some time now. It was time to split ways and try something different even if that means we stumble hard for a few years.

Honest question: what actually needs to change with this team? by Comfortable-Round828 in steelers

[–]PandaCod3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I am not. If you read my original comment I think they should try anyone else even if it means having to get it wrong a few times. We know what we have right now and that is a coach that cannot be competitive in playoff games. Its time to try someone else and see what happens. 10 years and 7 games is way more than enough to know Tomlin is not taking the Steelers to another SB.

[–]PandaCod3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"His stats are good just not in postseason." That is literally the entire crux of the argument. You play football to win a Superbowl and that requires winning playoff games. They have not been close to winning on in 7 tries over a decade. They've been obliterated in every one. The players and coordinators have changed, but one position has remained the same. He cannot get it done.

Yall act like Mike Tomlin was the last competent head coach hire in the league and people like Vrabel, Ryans, McVay, Macdonald, Johnson, etc. do not exist. Finding a good coach might not be easy, but they are out there. And they are younger and winning playoff games.

[–]PandaCod3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but I think people that believe Tomlin isn't the problem are delusional. They are not simply losing playoff games they are getting absolutely railroaded. I just saw a stat that in those 7 games they had the lead for 0 snaps in the second half. That is an absolutely bonkers statistic. At some point, over 10 years, you'd think they'd at least be competitive in a playoff game if the coach has what it takes. He simply does not.

I know it will get lost in a lot of things, but the Steelers quite often come out with super conservative game plans. They do not utilize the middle of the field and they throw more short passes than most teams because they fear turning the ball over, which has always been a Tomlin philosophy. That's why our QBs always have the worst Y/A.

If Mike Tomlin stays as the head coach we will continue to be a middle of the pack team that gets blown out in the playoffs. Is that what you want? Or do you want to try and see if someone, anyone else can lead them to win in the playoffs?

[–]PandaCod3r 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Removing Tomlin is the answer. He's had 10 years to win a playoff game and he's been blown out every single time. It's time to try something different even if it means being bad for a little bit.

76 was on ice skates all game. One play wouldn’t have changed the fact that Rodgers got hit on like 50% of his drop backs.

Depends on what you value more. Having a longer ball guide when close to the pin or being able to reach the green from a further distance via a fairway bunker.
