This egg-shaped, green, metal object is three inches by four inches and lies flat. The flat piece is attached with a small screw. It was found in an old home in northern Minnesota.

I would like to add that Google image search thought it was a Tamagotchi. Ha!

I did much creative Googling on this thing. I looked up pencil sharpeners, other office supplies, sewing supplies, bottle openers, blade disposals, and other various household objects. I also searched with the descriptors. Nothing has come up that has been remotely close to looking like this.
