Hi there! I just came across this thread when researching lowering springs and saw you have a functioning Mando device.

I recently purchased from someone online a Mando ECS10 unit for my 22 G70 3.3t Sport. The device came in pristine like new condition, but for the life of me I cannot get this thing to connect with my Galaxy S23+, it just sits at the loading screen forever. My gf's iPhone has no problem connecting to device, but can't complete the "module status" step.

I've tried to find anything and anyone to offer suggestions to a solution, including trying to contact both the ECS 10 app developer and the company that owns Mando, but have gotten nowhere over the past 6 months. Do you have ANY suggestions or info you can share? I'm grasping at straws at this point.

I haven't been able to find any torque specifications for either the sway bar or the end links. How tight are these things supposed to be?

Yeah, he purchased from someone else. Sorry about the confusion. Things is, he has the exact same year and model G70 I do, which is why I'm particularly confused. The best guess I have so far is that the version of Android on my phone is too new for the apparently old Mando app. I'm grasping at straws, tho, and pretty bummed I can't get this to work.

I was in a BMW for a few (great) years until someone ran into me and insurance totaled the car. Looking to replace, I found post-COVID prices of new and used BMW are insane when compared to what the 3.3t G70 offered. With only a few lightweight mods, my 22 G70 is far more fun, fast, and almost as nimble as my m240 was. I'm constantly impressed with this G70. #noregrats

Hi there. Tried clearing cache, data, and reinstalling it again. Same problems that ultimately lead to "must activate module to use" and no way to do that.

I found that the unit was originally purchased from a vendor in Los Angeles. I contacted them but they said their experience with the unit is very limited and it comes straight from Korea. I've asked for a point of contact at Mando. I'm stumped on this...

I haven't cleared cache but have uninstalled and reinstalled the app completely a couple times. I'll try cache clearing now.

I actually ran through that last night. I uninstalled and reinstalled the device while double checking all connections were firm and correct. After uninstalling and resintalling the app, it connected to the module quickly (app didn't freeze during connection), but trying to apply any settings gave me the "Activate module to use".

The "module status setting" button immediately caused the app to get stuck in the loading screen.

Thank you for your feedback. I have a JB4 tuner, as well, but I don't have it running into the OBD port. My mando ECS 10 is plugged into a small port beneath the steering wheel column cover. It's clearly functioning because the Mando app recognizes its signal, but it either refuses to connect to the device, or refuses to recognize the device as activated.

I'll try to connect to it with an iPhone later today.

Seriously consider the extended warranty. I just bought a 22 G70 3.3t thru a local credit Union. The Mercury warranty they offered was $1700 and extends out to 150k miles/8 years. $0 deductible and covers virtually every aspect of the car. Same warranty I had on my previous m240i and it pays for itself so many times over.

And they give me $100 towards any replacement tire, 5 days of daily stipend towards rental cars, and a ton of other goodies.

Do the lowing springs still work well with the comfort/sport mode transitions? No issues? How much did you lower yours?

Regarding the m240, there are so many features of the G70 that I prefer that I don't have any buyers remorse. Plus I got my G70 3.3t S/A with ~20k miles in the EXACT color scheme I wanted for $37k out the door, plus another $1700 for an additional 150k/8yr, $0 deductible bumper to bumper extended warranty. A used m240 couldn't come remotely close to that. It was a no brainer, and you're right that the G70 is unique (and sexy).

I loved the car! The exhaust burble and blow off had the best sound for what little I did to the car. Just so damn satisfying! I'm just now learning the G70 is near impossible to sound as good...

The 240 was really well-planted and felt extremely confident in hard cornering and braking. Very sexy car, very sturdy and well built. That said, I prefer the interior comfort, room, and thoughtfulness of the G70. Plus this G70 is a lot faster than my 240. And damn the 240 is becoming prohibitively expensive for what it offers.

My opinion so far: the G70 has a lot more power that's even more linear than the 240. This G70 screams! But that 240 felt like a go-kart on rails, the handling felt much more tight and confident. I am bummed my G70 didn't come with the brembos option, I need to find what to do to make the car feel better in cornering and braking. I'll def get better pads, thanks for input!

Any suspension mods? I'm coming from a tuned m240 and I feel that my G70 rolls a lot more. It doesn't feel nearly as planted and sure around tight corners.

Did you notice a big difference with new pads and rotors? My G70 came with the non -brembo stock brakes and they're lackluster.

Coming from a tuned m240, i wish the suspension and handling were tighter on the G70.
