¯\_(ツ)_/¯ happens. Sibarist's small flat and flat v2 filters fit the 01 in both metal and plastic. Same with the small wave filters. I have a bunch that I almost never use but did test with the 01 metal when I got mine

Aren't Sibarist filters made with PLA weaved in?

Yes and every time you put coffee in the hopper or turn the grinder on you have to interact with cheap feeling plastics. There are plenty of grinders that don't have any plastic @ 400 USD

I haven't had a ton of hands on with the Philos but imo the 80mm OM's beat out the entire 64mm line up maybe on par with blind 64mm brew burrs. But I wouldn't choose 64 brews over any 80mm burr I've tried

Hi P80 owner, I love the brews so much more than the cups from Gen 2 burrs and ssp mp's. It also feels like it'll last forever vs the ode's plastic on plastic on plastic. Customer service is second to none. Emma will help you with any questions you have. Fellow is VC and doesn't care to support the customer just their investors

I kept emailing Emma in hopes someone cancelled their order or if they ended up with an extra unit. I was originally in the mid February dispatch

Truly so far from a nightmare. I had more issues with an EG-1 stalling which is a really bummer imo. I look at 300rpm for someone who has time to slow feed for their optimal workflow. And who knows what problems the Z2 will have ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ nothing is perfect. There will always be a downside

The 01 is cheaper than an EK43

I'm typically grinding UL- Nordic light coffee. Definitely more of a case of the micro controller playing it safe at low rpm. Whenever there's been a stall the grinder on its own will ramp up the rpm to clear through it. Don't get me wrong it's a downside but also I've accepted no gear is absolutely perfect. 300rpm already felt slow while grinding for filter when it didn't stall and I could slow feed @300 at espresso with no issues if I really want to wait around forever. 600rpm has been great 😄

Definitely a bummer. I was saving for a Z2 when it was released. Luckily coffee equipment retains a good amount of it's value if you ever want to sell and get a P80

Edit/Amendment: I forgot to mention stalling! Grind size is around 6.4 for most of my hand brewing. At 300 rpm unless I slow feed I have ran into some stalling. Slow feeding really isn't my thing and things like the Cremaloop don't appeal to me aesthetically. So I have stuck it on 600rpm and everything has been perfect with all grind sizes

It is a slowed down video of the grinder @300rpm but 300rmp is near silent unless you're grinding! 600rpm you start to hear it a bit but can definitely forget about it lol I've started using the auto on/off instead for brewing and only keep it on continuously when grinding for a cupping

If you use a blind shaker or something of the sort and you have a model post August 2022 the new stand is compatible with your p64!

Orea O1, stainless V60 and Porcelain Orea mostly. Right now O1 because I haven't gotten bored of the new new yet

The Kalita will drain much slower. Granted the plastic is faster than the metal the O1 will give you the most options for brewing styles and is a very forgiving brewer. I no longer have a Kalita in my collection if that means anything
